We have passed this place multiple times, and today we decided to give it a try……….
This was our first time and our last time which is a shame they are a franchise as they are im diff states according to their sign.
Wayyyy overpriced more-so than any other fast food restaurants, even more than the frontera, la fountain, la fogata, la puente, taco stands, betos, albertos you get it.
We ordered a California burrito we specifically said NO PICO DE GALLO, and guess what? Our burrito had pico de gallo. I would understand they were super busy etc, but it was dead there was no one inside, or the drive thru. We were the only customers. That should have been a sign…
The place is not very clean.
My husband liked the salsa….
The fries in our burrito were not cooked all the way, and the portions were skimpy.
Save your money and go elsewhere, I wish I would have read the reviews prior to going and...

Drove thru the drive thru at Rivas on 900 East and 4500 South yesterday. We ordered the Chiles Rellenos Combo and the Rivas wet Burrito Combo.
I will never know how you can get such a rubbery texture on the poblano pepper that the Chile Rellenos used. The filling was tasteless and under seasoned.
The tortilla on the burrito had to be cut with a knife it was so under cooked. Although kudos for trying a homemade tortilla. The filling was a dried out mess of under seasoned meat and rice.
The side of refried beans was edible. The sauces were tasteless.
The service was adequate, but a tip (even at the drive thru) was pretty much expected and there is a 3% credit card convenience fee. So your $25 meal is $30. We tipped and our order was incomplete. I kicked myself for tipping for an incomplete order.
All in all?...

I always feel bad leaving a less than stellar review... but this place was talked up quite a bit online so I was definitely expecting better. I had a chicken quesadilla, & an order of chips & guacamole. I also got (& paid for) nachos that I didn't order. She even repeated the order back to me, & I corrected her then & still got the nachos. The nachos = chips with unmelted cheese on top, blew my mind. The quesadilla looks like a quesadilla but tastes like a breakfast samich so they aren't cleaning between sets thoroughly... this was a new experience for me & one I won't be doing again. It was $22.00. Go down the street to Real Taquiera, that's the quality I...
