Good walking and picnic park with lots of shade and sun. Fair amount of trees and very green lawn makes for pretty scenery. Fairly quiet park where most people keep to themselves. Over half the people were happy and laughing always nice to see and hear that. Has a pavilion, a couple open air picnic tables, a fenced in dog run and lots of rolling hills. Quite a few dogs sadly no one seems to pick up after their dogs here. If gonna picnic do so on a table there are quite a few ants on the lawn. Restroom has warm running water and soap. However the men's restroom was absolutely disgusting. There was dry previously wet toilet paper all over the floor in the stall and by the sink. The urinal was overflowing. Read moreProbably my running favorite for the best suburban park in the state. Vibrant, colorful playground (I'm referring to the higher one here, there are two.) Beautiful forest to explore and get lost in. The amphitheater is a homey, great addition. Love the leveling, love the layout. Pavilions are well kept for an inner city park. Last I was there, there were even a few hammocks among the field-side trees. Beautiful field by the way. Baseball diamond if you're into that sort of thing. So many childhood memories here. Read moreThis park sports mature, shady trees with amazing amenities and well-kept grounds. I had an event at the West Pavilion, and the city was so nice to work with for our permit - and the Salt Lake County parks department helped me understand what other permits were required.
The park is very large and can easily support several separate groups without an issue. Make sure you reserve your spot early, they go fast. And, in my opinion, the $100 fee for the West Pavilion that includes the amphitheater is one of the best deals for one of the most beautiful venues...
