UPDATE 2: To make matters worse, I also ordered some garlic knots and what I received was a disgusting assortment of almost raw pieces of dough. (See pictures) I will be fair and keep the original review below, but this place’s good standing fell off rather quickly for me.

UPDATE: Knocking two stars off the service portion of this review due to my experience on 12/02/2023.

This time I ordered carry-out and when I checked in, the guy at the counter told me in a condescending tone how I was 20 minutes early and that I had to wait until 5:50 PM. I said: “it’s okay, I can wait”.

I didn’t mind waiting; it’s not like I stormed in to restaurant demanding my pizza to be ready, so I don’t know why this guy had an attitude.

In the end, I didn’t even get my order at 5:50 PM, so this dude needs to chill about the timing of things, especially if their own wait times are not completely accurate.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

Pizza here is AMAZING!

I only ordered a large half cheese/half pepperoni pizza but even that was really delicious.

I’ve tried several pizza places in the last few months, most of them with glowing recommendations, but I gotta say this pizza is definitely the best.

Also, Fernando was a really cool...

Pizza! Who doesn't love pizza? I do. Even people who don't like pizza like pizza! People who say they don't like pizza are just confused liars, it's really not their fault. So...when I saw this place nearby and needed to order some pizza for a moving party I thought, "Huh, I feel like living on the edge, reviews seem good, I'm a nice and relatively handsome person, let's give it a shot!" Well I called the place up and placed an order, which included 2 large joy circles and bread sticks with sauce. They said it'd be 30 minutes. When I showed up at 30 they said it'd be 10 more minutes, which is no big deal, I'm not a monster. When the order came out they didn't include the bread sticks! I told them I ordered them, they basically said I was mistaken and they didn't know what to tell me. Alllllllrrright, so we went home and ate the pizza. Oh the shame... This stuff was a little too greasy, the toppings were sparse, and I just felt disappointment in every bite. Granted, it definitely wasn't the worst pizza I've ever had, but the whole experience was just not that great. When it comes to pizza, you best not mess around. Ain't nobody got time to waste on...

Fantastic food and service - one of my favorite places to eat, and possibly the best calzone-style pizza you'll find anywhere in the state.

Quick contrast of big vs. small business and why I love spots like this:

I ordered takeout tonight for 7:15 PM pickup, just a few calzones, nothing special. On my way to pickup the food I stopped for gas, but then my car wouldn't turn back on after filling up. I didn't have jumper cables or any way to jump it myself. It took 3 phone calls plus an hour and a half of waiting while going through Progressive for roadside assistance to finally get my car started again to finally pickup the pizza. This meant that I didn't arrive until shortly before 9:00.

Upon arrival I briefly explained why I was so late, and they told me that they'd (understandably) thrown the food out. However, without hesitation they quickly followed by saying they'd be more than happy to re-make the order free of charge if I didn't mind waiting for ~15 minutes. They were quick, friendly, and just so understanding and accommodating - I absolutely love businesses like this and will be recommending them to...

💯 New York Style Pizza I grew up in NYC and I can tell you this is a 9.1 pizza absolutely amazing. A true NYC pizza shop atmosphere, Look and set up if it looks like a pizza shop, smells like a pizza shop and it feels like a pizza shop it is a pizza shop!!! Totally in Love with this place finally I found a place that I can come to and get a taste of real pizza in Salt Lake City. It’s a must come if you are in town. Food: 18” Pizza was amazing, warm crispy and thin crust like I like it. Box was a traditional NYC style box so if you are talking it home it will hold very well, be sure to ask for the extra thin NYC Style they doo have many other styles that are very good as well. Service: I had to wait a bit but that is just normal waiting for an 18” Very friendly crew that took their time to make sure I get what I order. Beer 🍺 is available Dining Area: This restaurant was super clean and very comfortable, perfect for big groups and kids friendly with booster seats and more. Access: Easy off easy on From I-215 E.

Quick lunch stop, I got one slice of cheese pizza and a drink for $3.50. Steven A took my order and served it, and he was very nice and helpful. The pizza was really good! The first few bites on the triangle tip of the slice were amazing- it was cheesy and greasy and soooo good. When the crust started to get thicker it wasn’t quite as good. But man, those first several bites were just amazing. My husband is obsessed with pizza, so we eat a lot of pizza, so much so that I get sick of it. This pizza was a reminder to me of why people love pizza. The restaurant itself is more of a dive. The decor is pictures of New York, the tables aren’t especially clean, but that is what you expect when ordering a greasy pizza. I hope to come again!
