We have done the farm to table dinners three times…we are not gluttons for punishment we bought the tickets all at once. This is not a dinner for the patrons this is a self indulgent dinner party for the owner and her friends and family that you get to pay for. They serve themselves first which is WILDLY against every rule in hospitality. There is an hour between each course they will run out of wine and beer and limit you no matter how long it takes to get the food out. Not to mention you are on a metal folding chair and have to use a dirty porta potty for $115 per person. Tickets to these dinners are purchased ahead of time yet for some reason they are always scrambling to get enough plates out. When you do finally get your plate it will be cold and missing key ingredients as if they whipped it together last second even though they know how many people are coming. Dont worry the owner will intervene between each course to give a diatribe of nonsense while not acknowledging how long everything is taking. Like I said we have been to three of these this isn’t opening trial by fire this is the owner selling more seats to something she already cant handle. Between the first one we attended in June and final one tonight which we left early because after 3 hours and a plate of cold food we left before dessert to go get dinner elsewhere the service never got better. Save your money and go to a...
Read moreBeen coming here for several years, but had a really unpleasant experience today. Came for Apple picking (which is shown on the roadside signs). On arrival my daughter needed to restroom, so we enquired and were directed to the 2 portapotties. Both of them were absolutely foul. We walked around for a good 10-15 minutes trying to find any info on picking. Couldn’t work out whether to line up in the shop or what. Finally spoke to someone on the restaurant patio who just shrugged and said the picking was over for the season. Why is it still on the sign? Then decided to just grab some apple cider donuts. Lined up for another 20 minutes at the snack bar next to the donuts to be told you can only buy them in the store. Lined up again in the store to be told donuts would be at least 30 minutes because of an event. We left. I don’t begrudge the event at all. Just think in advance about signage. Let customers know where they can buy which items. If picking season is done then put up a sign. In all wasted an hour for nothing and left with three really upset kids. Also please think about investing in some permanent restrooms. If the farm is going to have a restaurant and run events, lack of amenities is...
Read moreI've eaten here twice and both times the service was severely lacking. My complaints on my most recent experience: At the donut/ice cream counter the check out girl was slow. She also was not able to answer basic questions including explaining a menu item and listing the coffee flavors. Our appetizer came out before our drinks after about 25/30ish minutes. We had to ask for silverware. When our drinks came out, our coffees were lukewarm. When we asked that they be heated up, the kitchen runner sighed and took them with an attitude. There was no apology either. We also overheard another table ask for their drink to be heated as well.
While seated we saw several other customers complain. One customer said "I've asked for silverware and water three times." Again, there was no apology. Another customer asked to speak to the manager and was visibly frusterated with her experience.
Overall, the donuts were delicious and some of the menu items are very tasty. However, the staffing here makes the experience overall negative, especially for the price. Probably still worth it for a donut if you're willing to wait but I would definitely skip...
