I came here with high hopes but honestly this review left to be desired with more improvement and mixed feelings. While the overall taste of the food was good, in summary, it felt disorganized and rushed in the process. Here’s my first time experience:
I love how they have a WIDE variety of flavors, not to mention oolong tea flavors?! Most ice cream shops barely have that option, but I was ecstatic to find that at an ice cream/boba shop would have those flavors… I tried their scoop of ube and it was AMAZING. Do not go for the three scoops like me unless you are REALLY craving for ice cream… because they legit give you three LARGE scoops stacked on top of each other. I would just recommend one cup per person. Their cruffles are also the best ones — both are really good recommendations. The rose oolong left enough to taste rosy and milky simultaneously.
The service was logistically out of proportion and weak. I was very taken aback when you’re supposed to order first and then look at the ice cream… like no ice cream/boba shop ever does that. In addition, the people taking our orders were very un nice. If you’re reading this, I would appreciate if y’all taught and trained your employees the meaning of professionalism. The people that made my ice cream also became really impatient and gave me attitude while they were at it.
The atmosphere of this place was also very crowded. in general, it took us almost 25 minutes to get through the entire line, and I was thoroughly uncomfortable. I’d appreciate it if the store actually regulated how much people they let in, and how you treat your customers.
I do or do not know when I will be back here again to support this establishment — maybe on special occasions but even then, I’m...
Read moreTried just the ice cream for my first time because of the buy 1 get 1 but still want to try the boba, floats, and croffles.
There's not really many ice cream spots in Milpitas so Smoove definitely caught my attention. The flavors we got were so good and the scoops were MASSIVE. WAY bigger than we thought they would be. We got ube, matcha green tea, thai tea, mango, black sesame, and earl gray tea. I just tried the last four and they were fantabulous. They were all lighter, less sweet ice creams than the typical American ice cream shop which I appreciated. My favorite was the earl gray as I could actually taste the tea and the black sesame came in second with its strong, real flavor. I like how this ice cream wasn't super dense and heavy either. Would come back for some delicous ice cream on a hot day.
The service is okay. The employees are all nice but I think the system is just kind of not optimal. You order your ice cream at the cashier then have to wait for your name to be called rather than then scooping it in front of you then immediately paying. I understand you can't as easily do that when you have other menu items that you have to wait for so I don't know if there would be a better way to do it but just a forewarning that you will be waiting a little bit longer than a typical ice cream shop for your kxe cream, especially if there is a lot of people.
The place is really cute and aesthetic, with a balloon arch and a small comfortable seating area. It is a very Instagrammable place, but I will have to come back for the boba, floats, and croffles to see if it tastes as good as...
Read moreI was there yesterday and couldn’t stop Myself going back there that too being in a strict diet. This ice cream parlor is far superior to any other available in the market. Not only this is delicious, but the quantities are also unbelievably large by scoops Size wise . The colors are so different from any other ice cream I’ve had. Their ube ice cream was fantastic, and I tried a few others as well, and each one was equally good. Today is national ice Cream Day, and they’re giving away free ice cream all day. I tried brown sugar ice cream as brown sugar boba milk is my regular drink that I buy always.
The young girl, Parishi, was very helpful and did a great job. She encouraged me to try other flavors for tasting .They serve three flavors in one cup, and it’s almost three big scoops which is enough for three people. I wouldn’t want to serve it that way as a business but looks like the owner is happy to treat her customers like no other but as a customer, it’s a crazy deal. Their coconut pineapple and mango and lychee rose ice creams are also awesome. If you’re an ice cream lover, you have to try...
