Certainly worth a stop. The artwork was a delight and conveniently located. This is a free attraction however, on their website there is an option to donate to the East Side Business Improvement District through PayPal. I visited early on a Sunday morning and there was a lot of trash in the alley (to the point you really had to watch where you were walking) so that was a little off-putting. From other photos I’ve seen, the area usually looks cleaner so maybe there was an event nearby the night before? Regardless - the artwork is phenomenal!

The bf & I thoroughly enjoyed strolling through this amazing & unique art experience in an alley. There were more murals than I'd expected and they were so different from each other. The East Side neighborhood was super cool in general and this fit the vibe perfectly. It was lit very thoughtfully and intentionally using string lights and spots, which added so much to the ambiance, as well as the photos. A must-see in Milwaukee!

It’s hard to imagine having a desire to go visit and tour an alley in Milwaukee. But if you do have such a desire, you will want to visit Black Cat Alley on Milwaukee Eastside. It is cool to see during the day and even cooler to see in the evening. Various artists decorate the walls that line the alley and these artistic works or changed out throughout the year. Located directly behind the Oriental Theater (near the corner of North and Farwell). Definitely worth taking a stroll...
