Jared is a very knowledgeable bow technician. My bow has been shooting noticeably better after Jared tuned it. The range quality is great. They have a pretty good selection of arrows on hand of you're not looking for something really specific. They have a TechnoHUNT DART Target System which is an interactive hunting simulators that project real wildlife scenes onto a screen to shoot at, it's quite realistic. Bow selection on hand is limited but if what you're looking for is mainstream they'll likely have something that will work. The bow technicians are very knowledgeable and can recommend a bow and accessories that will fit your needs and budget. I hope Broken Arrow organizes more events and competitions.
When they get busy customer service is really hit or miss but that is generally the case with all archery shops. You have to assert yourself. I'm hoping that archery shops could setup a system where customers can schedule a time and date when they are less busy for more one on one shopping or service experience.
For the reviewers who said their bow wasn't tuned correctly, there is a BIG difference between bow setup and bow tuning. Bow tuning and arrow tuning can be a very lengthy process requiring lots of time from both the bow technician and YOU working together. And it will cost some money for their time. Paper tuning with both a bare shaft and fletched arrows to tune the nock position, and rest left right and up down position takes a lot of time especially if you also do walk back tuning. Cam timing and can lean tuning takes time. The amount of bow tuning information online is HUGE, one shouldn't expect every bow technician to know all the super advanced knowledge. Nock positioning, measuring the stiffest spline position and aligning it with the nock, and recording which direction a bare shaft spins with a high speed camera then fletching the arrow to encourage rather than fight the spin direction are some advanced tuning that you can't just walk in and expect that kind of service.
Arrow selection can also get pretty technical. Selecting an arrow that has the right spine is very important. But the right spine depends on the arrow length, point weight, arrow speed, and release method. Spine charts are a good starting point. It is complex enough that there are specialized software to help make the right selection Pinwheel SFAX and Archers Advantage are two such software. Knowing how to use the software requires requires intermediate to advanced knowledge. It is also an iterative process, arrow speeds are measured with a chronograph which Broken Arrow has, and the exact arrow speed can be used to adjust the point weight and vice versa to tune the arrow's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI walked into this archery shop and was pleasantly surprised to find out it was much larger than it appeared. Less than a minute after walked in I was helped by a friendly archery pro. I knew nothing walking in other than I was interested in getting into bow hunting. Within 5 minutes the archery pro had measured my draw length and shown me several nice bows in my price range. He also explained all of the necessary equipment that I would need to be fully outfitted and answered all of my questions fully(even the dumb ones). I will definitely be going back to get outfitted. I shopped their prices online and they are priced very competitively and reasonable. I will definitely support our local shops especially when the customer service is so good and the prices so reasonable. They also have an awesome indoor target range for trying out bows and a dart range for seeing how accurate you are when hunting, the dart range shows you where you hit the simulated animal based upon where your arrow hit the screen. They have a great setup and I would definitely recommend them to others. Update: my wife purchased a gift certificate for me to go and get a bow set up, they were super helpful and are going to set me up with a bow that is in my price range and fully equipped ready for hunting. Since I am buying my bow from them it comes with free tuning as well as a lesson, range time and dart room time. I am stoked and they have been great to do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeing terribly bored in quarantine and looking for new hobbies to pursue I decided to take a look into archery š¹. Being new I set out on a quest to stop at a couple shops to find a bow for me. I had gone to a couple before here, tried out some nice bows, but chose not to buy because of the way I had been treated. No one going into a sport wants to be spoken to like a child or treated like they are dumb because they inconvenience the workers. Finally I had found my way to Broken arrow. I was helped as soon as I walked in. If you are looking for a bow and not sure what you are looking for be prepared to spend some time there! These guys do it right! They check your form, draw length, and then they go through the motions of finding the right bow for you! The first time going in I was worried about asking questions after how I had been treated elsewhere but the second time I went in I spent about an hour just asking away, AND to my surprise ended up in an engaging conversation where I learned so so much. So donāt be afraid to ask questions these guys are great and full of knowledge. They have made a forever customer and I will be buying all my future bows and equipment from here! They are reasonably priced and have amazing customer service! Support a phenomenal local business and go here! I would be giving 10 stars āļø...
