Ok. This was a pretty confusing experience, so I'm just gonna write it all out so other potential patrons can understand what to expect from this establishment.
My mother and I showed up to the Milwaukie Puddletown bagel cart around 10am and the open sign was on, but the window was closed with no line in front. We approached the window, and after a little time had passed the employee in the food cart begrudgingly opened it up and asked us what we wanted.
I looked at the menu and asked for a dozen plain bagels. The employee glanced back for a moment and said "Sorry. All we have is seven. Too bad."
I thought this was a weird way to respond, but I just kinda brushed it off and said "Ok no problem, we'll just take 6 plain then."
At this point the employee started yelling and pushing drinks off the counter towards me and asking if I didn't just want to buy them all. I told her it was okay we would just take the six.
She started ranting about frequencies interfering with people's minds and continued knocking drinks over and pushing them over the counter towards me while I tried to finish paying for the order.
After some struggle to pay (due to the drinks being pushed towards me by the employee), she slammed the window, threw the bagels in a bag, and shoved them at me before shooing us away.
I have to say that without a doubt this was the most horrible customer service experience I have ever had not just in Milwaukie, not just in Oregon, but in America.
I'm not sure what's going on with your employee at this establishment, but please get them some help; they seem like they are having some personal issues to say the least.
Frequent this establishment at your own peril. Better to just pick up some bagels at the...
Read moreI ordered on Uber eats from a place called "Breakkie Bagel". An hour of switching drivers MULTIPLE TIMES + an hour of waiting for a call to say they don't even know how to explain it but that's not them and they don't even have what I ordered from the Uber eats page? So they had me re order over the phone which was weird and confusing, because their menu was completely different and now I'm hearing this over the phone??? So I just explained as close as to what I placed on the app over the phone... + ANOTHER hour later when once it arrived the receipt says 'PUDDLETOWN BAGELS'? Again not even the place I ordered from on the app. Their total IS ON THE BAG $9.25 on the receipt, I paid $19.31 through the app and am still missing an additive as well (paid for that too). I now did the math on this situation. Yes it shows I pay $11.99 through the app... along with the delivery person tip (which he himself can keep), service, and other delivery fee. But on the CORRECT receipt that came with the bag, the mistakes, and how long this took...it's shows they charge me $7.25 then $2.00, so $9.25 then charge me the service fee & delivery fee so $13.24... then add the guys delivery fee to that. So I should have only been charged $16.57 by PUDDLETOWN Bagels including my delivery drivers tip! NOT Brekkie Bagels! I should be completely refunded or the right business should be PAYED CORRECTLY! Do right Uber eats, don't confuse your customers. I've been back and forth with customer support and have received nothing but neglect, and what seems to be very rude customer service. All while doing this just to order food to make my life easier when my daughter is admitted into the hospital so I don't have...
Read more04/17/21: 4.5 out of 5 - This is Puddletown Bagel's Milwaukie location that opened not too long ago. Maybe even a few days ago from the date of this review.
My Saturday Running Group and I came here after our morning run, and was pleasantly surprised by Puddletown Bagels. This was the first time we have tried the Milwaukie Food Station pods.
The owners were very nice and accommodating. They were quick to get the order down and the food and coffee & espresso made.
There is a some very good choices of 12 bagels and spreads that would allow an amazing array of combinations. On top of that you would have options of going with a breakfast combo, sandwich, or just keeping it simple.
Bagels are made fresh daily, which they are mixed, hand-rolled, boiled and baked. Pretty impressive!
Be aware of their espresso drinks. I had the Mocha which was delicious, but be aware that it's very hot. Burn your tongue hot.
At the end of the meal, the real question isn't "was it good?", but moreso, "would you go back?". My answer: Absolutely!
I hope you give this place a try when in the area or if you are in the mood for...
