If you LOVE thrift shopping, this is the best place you could come. A lot of the other reviews were by people who don't really thrift shop, and yes, if you're not used to spending the time to sift through the junk in order to find the awesome items, then this place will seem like a trash heap. But the deal is, everything is in mostly unsorted bins (more like huge troughs) and you need to spend at least an hour digging through them and pulling out anything you think might be awesome. Two hours would be better. There are no changing rooms, (you wouldn't want to put these things on your body until you've washed them at home anyway) so you'll just have to guess at the size/fit. My family likes to go all together so we can pool our clothing and make sure to get the biggest discount. If you have 25lb or more then each pound only costs like 89 cents or something like that. I can't remember, but it's stinking the cheapest price in the world of thrifting and its amazing! You'll get home, wash everything thoroughly (including yourself), try on all the clothes and find out that a few things just don't work out... But you still have a heap of items that are in great condition, and look fabulous on you and you paid a total of like nine dollars for them... TOTAL! So it's completely worth it. They also have actually quite a good selection of furniture, and I find that it's in really good condition most of the time. You don't pay by the pound for items of furniture or movies or books (that wouldn't be wise anyways). They are all priced very, very reasonably though. Sometimes I want to buy all of the easy chairs and desks I see because wow that's a great price for a nice piece of furniture! But then I remember that I flew in from out of state... And WHY DON'T THEY HAVE THESE STORES IN UTAH?!? So if you love thrifting, GO. If you only have curiosity and only like thrift stores that don't have that thrift store smell, this is not the...
Read moreMe and my mother and a friend of my mom's and me had a very terrible experience with the woman supervisor here she started coping an attitude with us and harassing us for no reason and she literally was yelling at us and taking things out on us we were just putting our cart's in a straight line by the front wasn't blocking anything we had the carts out of the way they were lined up nice and neat and she just started getting really mouthy with all three of us and she made a seen with her yelling and harassing us while we were there her attitude is not good costumer service and it's really uninviting something's gotta be done because she's very out of line and really really really rude and she literally harassed us and tried belittle us in front of the whole entire goodwill I can't even believe how rude she was being her attitude really stinks hopefully something can be done I need to make a big complaint on that supervisor she's flat out rude I'm surprised anybody is in there because our experience the whole entire time she was harassing us for no reason it was ridiculous. I will be contacting management she needs to be fired. It's not good for her to be treating her costumers like dirt. I mean down grade poor costumer service for a supervisor. And the supervisor is a older woman probably in her early 50's or mid 50's she has kinda sandy blonde hair up in a bun and she's white and she's short and petite and watch out she will belittle you and harass you and she'll kick you out of the store and she will call the police on you for no reason at all and I will be doing something about her because she's going to loose her job and I'm going to make...
Read moreOh Jesus. These reviews weren't kidding. A friend of mine wanted to go check this place out. Curious, I checked out the reviews and couldn't believe the things people were saying about it. It REALLY is just as crazy and weird as people are saying. It's like dumpster diving with a bunch of people. There's really not many good things to find unless you're super diligent about checking the bins right as they come out. But good luck with that, there's no way you'll beat the resellers/crazies that crowd the new piles of trash that come out. Wear gardening/work gloves to avoid germs or sharp objects. The staff there literally sweeps the floor and throws it into the bins that contain the things you may or may not buy. The things in these bins are the bottom of the barrel of things from goodwill. I'm assuming that whatever doesn't get sold at normal stores gets shipped out here to be sold by the pound/scrapped.
So what is there to buy here? Well, definitely not anything that's in particularly good condition. You might find some decent glassware for incredibly cheap. The clothes are disgusting, but if you need a TON of clothes to buy for maybe a shelter, send them through an industrial sized wash a couple times before letting anyone try them on. The furniture is okay probably, I'd likely stick with the wood stuff like dressers or tables if anything, but they all need some fixing. Paying by the pound makes it a bit more expensive for those large items. You might find some DVD's or books for cheap.
You've been warned. Be ready for the weirdest thrifting experience you...
