Sellwood Saloon — Restaurant in Portland

My wife and I were going there everyday to play video poker and we tied are dog outside because they had a water bowl out there they told me I couldn't have the dog outside unattended so my wife went out side with him and then the bartender came up to me and told me I needed to leave because the owners didn't like the kind of people I was bringing in there!!! I didn't understand the only thing I could think of was that my wife and her friend just got done shopping so they had bags from the store with them because we walked there. I was thinking about a lawsuit but the right to refuse service thing has me hesitant btw I hit a jackpot there 2 days before that. LoL...

Absolutely love Sellwood Saloon! This place is a gem in every way possible. The owners are fantastic - welcoming, friendly, and truly passionate about what they do. The bartenders are not only skilled at mixing drinks but also energetic and funny, making every visit a memorable experience. My wife and I are in our mid-seventies. We live at a near- by senior living facility, that we call "The Resort". We love to visit Sellwood Saloon. We love the patio and it is conveniently located between shopping and living places. I use a walker, and SS personnel are extremely kind, helpful and friendly. That also goes for many of the patrons. We love to stop here during cold weather, on our way back to "the resort", for a delicious Irish Coffee. We recommend Sellwood Saloon, as a mini- retreat from hectic...
