Groovy's — Attraction in Minneapolis

I love this place. They are definitely selective about the records they display, you don't need to sift through junk to find some real gold. I have found some of my favorite records of all time here for a very good price. Marcio is also incredibly knowledgable about all things music, and both Marcio and Julia are very friendly. They also have all kinds of neat other stuff, decorations, clothing, furniture, etc. My fiance and I purchased a record player setup here, and Marcio walked us through how to put it together so it was easy to set up when we got it home. I was in Minneapolis for an event over the weekend, and a friend of mine decided to check out some thrift stores for records and such. I saw the name Groovy's pop up on a Google search and I knew this was the place to go. When we get there, we're greeted by a huge record selection from all different genres. Definitely found some gems. The owner played each one for us to make sure they were what we wanted. Customer service was at 110%. We walked out with a bunch of records at very fair prices. Excellent record store. Fair market prices. Lots of good quality vinyl and variety. I was in the city for the weekend and had planned on going to a handful of record stores and this wasn’t one of them. I found it walking passed on my way to lunch and it turned out to be the best of the half a dozen or so much larger shops I went to. Lovely couple that runs the place.
