I am on a limited income, so I can't afford $3 a day for a cup of coffee. That adds up to $90 per month, which is far out of my budget. I ask for a cup of hot water and I use a Folger's Singles Decaf, which I can buy with Food Stamps, to make my own cup of coffee. Recently, this one Caribou location has been refusing to give me a free largest cup of hot water, on the grounds (no pun intended) that "those cups are expensive," even though I brought in a dime to pay for their very expensive cup. Today I was told that this is what the manager said. I really can't believe that any Caribou Coffe franchise, or the Caribou Coffee corporation, is going to go broke by giving one senior a cup of hot water. No other franchise has said this. "Buddy, can you spare a dime (for a cup of coffee)?"...
   Read moreEditing my review. Initially I said it was too small and crowded. I've come to recognize that such is the case with cafes, so that's unavoidable at times. Plus, I may have just gone in at a high frequency time. It's not their fault. But after frequenting this cafe, the baristas have learned to recognize me and what I order. They also know that I don't order drinks for myself, but for my son and his mom, and they get nice little smileys and names marked up on the lids of their cups. It's very amazing that I can go in and they know my family members' names. There are other businesses that I patron more frequently, and they don't even know my name.    Read moreThere is a gentleman that works there that should not be at the front counter. I have like anyone else spend a bit of money at caribou but after stop at uptown and here I have all together stopped going to caribou. The customer service is horrible its like they don't have the time to take the order the way you want it and if you don't dare ask for something extra as you get snapped at. I understand jobs and employees are hard to find during this time but the ones that are working still need to treat the customers...
