Parking: Small parking lot on site, it was full when I arrived. Unfamiliar with the area took a few strolls around the block and found some street parking close by. Little parking is expected for the area.
Walk in: First thoughts were the overwhelming smell of body odor. I get it’s a gym and people are there to workout, but it smelled like not a single person was wearing deodorant.
I just came in to try the gym. They do not offer day or week trial passes. It was $16 for a day pass and around $25 for a week pass, which I thought was slightly high for the location and compared to the overall cost of a membership.
Equipment: This is the smallest location from was I was told, and they have a decent selection of equipment inside. Small room off to the side which is more powerlifting oriented with squat racks and deadlift platforms. Basement I just glanced at and was turfed and had squat racks.
Some of the standard hammer strength plate loaded machines upstairs and most of the plate loaded machines seemed leg oriented.
Locker rooms smelled better than the gym, reminded me of middle school with the overpowering smell of axe body spray.
Overall thoughts: If you live in the area a decent gym to get your workouts in, did not blow me away. From what I’ve been told it’s worth the extra drive to the...
Read morePros: Lots of equipment- you can do literally anything here
Reasonably priced- at $55-$60 a month with no contracts.
Friendly/helpful staff
Cons: Loud - sometimes the music is so loud you can't hear your own headphones.
Dirty- I rarely see anyone cleaning equipment and a lot of times people don't rack their weights or put their stuff away. Gets cramped with tripping hazards.
Limited Parking- lot is small and it's close to the encampment, so walking after dark feels a little sketchy.
Poor layout- a lot of little things that add up. Could maybe benefit from a reorganization of the layout. Ex: Tvs are mounted so high you can't watch them when you're on the treadmill. HIIT area is downstairs but the ceilings are so low you can't actually jump rope unless you're really short. Squat rack is so close to the back stairwell you sometimes have to wait for ppl to finish a set to go downstairs. It's just kind of awkward.
Overall ok, but it wouldn't be my top pick if it weren't in such a good...
Read moreUnfortunately I am updating my review after a lot of billing discrepancies, always gave this place 5 stars before. They increased going to multiple locations to about $70-75 which is just disappointing, my main disappointment though comes with the fact that you will get completely different answers to questions depending on which location you call. The equipment is great and very well maintained, they will caution off equipment with issues and fix it very quickly. Unfortunately this gym has too big of a name and crowd to not be busy which might be subjective but I have been a member for a long time and reminisce on the times of having a workout and being the only person in the gym, can’t really fault them for...
