Bryant Lake Bowl is a true gem. I discovered this place a few years ago and have consistently returned time and time again.
First, don't let the "bowling alley" aspect of the place influence your perceptions of the food. Most bowling alleys consist of cheap beer and even cheaper burgers/fried foods. Bryant Lake Bowl on the contrary has delicious food that transcends typical bowling-alley cuisine. For instance, I highly recommend their Tofu Pad Thai and "Bad Breath Burger." While their food is certainly more expensive than most bowling alleys, it is affordable and I never have felt I paid more than what I was getting.
Second, Bryant Lake Bowl has probably one of the best restaurant vibes in Minneapolis. It is casual yet intimate. The perfect place for a first date or right after a break-up. I've celebrated everything from birthdays, to friend's breakups and coming-outs. The great vibe stems from the smaller tables allowing groups of people to sit closer together while also being in a bustling restaurant. Also the wait staff isn't awkward and treats you like a human - they don't kiss your ass and they know how to joke around while delivering great service.
Finally, Bryant Lake Bowl is one of Kim Bartmann's true masterpieces. I've dined at most of her restaurants and am continually amazed at the well-developed concepts that go into each one. This one for sure is a must visit for any tourist, foodie, or someone in need of...

Alright so I'm going to divide this review into two parts: 1] The Bowling experience 2] The FREEWIFI album listening party event
[The Bowling experience:] Bryant Lake Bowl is a blast from the past bowling alley that really captivates the nostalgia of classic bowling. No automatic scoring, just a pencil and a scorecard. Bring your A-game because this isn't just any bowling alley- a few celebrities have come to this place including Mr Peter Parker!
You can get drinks here which makes the games a bit more interesting #gutterball -
[The FREEWIFI album listening party:] This event showed me that Bryant Lake Bowl is a prime spot to host a small to medium-sized event. The place was pretty backed with all of FREEWIFI's fans who were there to support the new album "Connected"
I may be a bit biased on this one since I am a recording artist.. but the sound system is okay, I have definitely heard better but it's not like you're going to a concert so this shouldn't affect the experience at all
All of my friends agreed that the food is pretty good (they kept going back for more) and all in all, I'd say that our experience here was a 9.5/10
The only thing that keeps this from being a perfect 10 is the sound system, other than that this is a perfect place for people to come out and do exactly what Bryant Lake was built...
Read moreLong wait times, no reservations and grimy. My hands were black and disgusting/greasy after playing two games. They don’t appear to clean the balls or shoes in between use or at all. I called over a month before going to reserve a couple of lanes for a team outing. I was asked how many people in my party and I told them 9. They told me they don’t take reservations for parties under 10 and assured me we would not have a wait. When we arrived, there was a 30 minute wait and then they tried to put all of us in one lane. There wasn’t even space for all of us to sit. So we are and waited for two lanes to open together. The server took our order and never returned. The owner, who I spoke to directly about this experience, helped us get a table while we ate, but seemed rather unsympathetic. She also stuck to her no reservation for parties under 10 line. They got us two lanes together - 2 hours after we had arrived. It was frustrating! The food was decent and bowling was fun, but we will take our business elsewhere in the future given this experience. I was disappointed the owner wasn’t more apologetic and it appears she learned nothing from...
