Salon Gold — Attraction in Minneapolis

I showed up for my hair appointment 5 mins early and Sarah had a client and told me to wait outside the door (during Covid) in front of the public bathrooms. I sat there for 30 MINUTES and Sarah never came out to let me know what was going on. I knocked on the door and asked how much longer. She said '10 like more mins' as she was washing her clients hair. I could not wait a minute longer, I also have to work, so I left.

Sarah called me 10 mins later and starting yelling at me about only being back 2 weeks, she was working 10 hours days and that I should be more understanding. As I was telling her I was understanding - she hung up!!!

If you have unlimited amounts of time to wait around outside a public bathroom during Covid and like to be reamed out it you don't - Salon Gold is your place!! #MESSY #SORUDE...

I have curly hair and cannot express enough how difficult it is to find a stylist who cuts curly hair well--Sarah is the best cut i've had since i was in my 20s and at that time found a very expensive pro (who eventually retired). Sarah is equal to or better! I had been trying to grow my curly hair long for several years, after it was fried and broken off by overdone and bad foiling. I found Sarah who "righted the ship" and is the MASTER. My hair is the longest it's been I think ever in my life, at a time when (at 52 yrs old) people love to say it may never grow long again. After an amazing hour at Salon Gold my hair now looks like it should have its own Instagram account. It’s shiny, bouncy, and I swear it moves in slow motion when I turn my head. I’ve received so many compliments, I’m considering hiring a personal assistant just to keep track of the meetings arranged for my hair. Even the wind in Minneapolis seems to be blowing softer around my fabulous new look. I’m pretty sure my reflection winked at me in a shop window at the airport as I returned home.
