I wish Iād had a better experience here! I wanted to love it but I went in for a manicure and pedicure. I had a skin problem with my feet that I informed my nail artist about before we started the pedicure. Iāll note that although what I had was contagious, I was MONTHS past when someone would catch it from contact with me. 4-5 months past, but it left my skin fairly damaged, which was why I needed a pedicure. My nail artist seemed fine with it but another artist who was helping someone out at the manicure stations shouted over to us and came over to (loudly) tell me I could not get a pedicure because they couldnāt have it spreading in their salon. I want to make it clear that I donāt really mind that I was not allowed to get a pedicure, I get that this is a small business and they have to protect their artists and clients, but I was EXTREMELY upset by how I was told. The lady carried on a conversation about a health issue I had not told her about, with me, with her current client, and later with another client after she had finished with her first client. My nail tech didnāt breathe a word about it, I donāt want to blame them. It was the insensitivity of the other person to continue talking about my health issues with other people that bothered me. It bothered me so deeply I struggled not to cry, and have not been back since, because I really feel like she went too far sharing information I hadnāt even chosen to tell her. She overheard me say it to the person doing my nails and then for the next 45 minutes to an hour, talked about it at length, loudly, over and over. Iāve never felt as embarrassed as this. Iāve sat on this feeling because I wanted to sort out what exactly bothered me about it. Again, not bothered that I couldnāt get a pedicure, but extremely disturbed with how my sensitive health information was treated.
Edited to add 11/12/2024: the salon owner posted a response today that I had āopen soresā on my feet even though this review is from 2 years ago! I did not have open sores. I had flaking skin I pointed out to my artist. I was not bleeding, there were not scabs, it was just flaking off on one side and looked weird so I let the artist know preemptively. Note that the salonās response does not apologize for the behavior I complained about, which was that she then kept repeating to other clients what I had told my artist, which was humiliating. Two years later I havenāt forgotten how low she...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had an appointment with Hanna that I booked a week and a half ago. Iām new to the area and had trouble with finding a nail studio that does great work. I normally go to a Sola Salon tech due to the fact that you have to be good to have your own business, but I referred to Hannah from a tech at a sola salon. An hour before my appointment she canceled. I was already on my way and left work early. I honestly feel that it was because she didnāt want to do my nails. She said there was an emergency, but emailed me for a few hours trying to pawn me off on other nail places, which I did not want to go to, but I had an event on Saturday and was put in a bad spot because of her. She kept saying I only do overlays with extensions, which I was happy to try something new. She said, weāll you will be better off with someone who does acrylics, which offended me and made me feel that she didnāt want to do my nails. I do not recommend a place that has poor customer service and the tech tells me what I should do with my own nails. Hannah, a word of advise, do not judge a book by its cover. You missed out on repeat business with large tips, as my girl in michigan gets $40-$60 in tips from me on top...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATE! The owner 2 years later is negatively replying to all 1 star posts within an hour last night. The owner even called my partner homophobic, 2 years later, attempting to virtue signal their support for the community. Iām appalled at the pure lack of accountability from the owner of this business.
The owner of this establishment chased my wife into the parking lot after refusing service. My wife was told that there wasn't enough time to complete her services because they did not account for polish removal. After adjusting from a mani/pedi to only a mani and removal, the owner, a blonde caucasian woman came out from the back and asked, 'is there a problem here?'
From there, my wife provided feedback on the layout of their website to make the timing clearer for future clients at which point the owner said, 'You know what? How about you get out of here. You need to get out of here' in the middle of her service. The owner then followed my wife, verbally berating her all the way to her car where she was told to back off. She finally did, and I'm going to file a formal complaint with the city.
How dare you?
Take your...
