My child had a great time here for STEAM Maze Building. The library staff was highly engaged, modeling positive behavior like sharing and encouraging the children to speak kindly to one another. The children's room has natural light, a cozy window bench nook, tables, and fun games. The staff interacted well with the children, making it a fun and enriching experience. The librarian was wonderful at encouraging and helping as needed before the kid's frustrations boiled over. She was able to encourage them to find solutions by talking them through it instead of doing it for them. The librarian encouraged ideas and complimented their solutions and creativity. They even inspired them to combine their mazes into a giant super maze which is a very valuable lesson in teamwork. My child was very engaged and it fostered her to be very social in the space. This library is louder than a Coffee Shop! If you are looking for a quiet place to study, do NOT come to this library. There is no closed door meeting room, so tutors are using the open area/teen area as “classroom” and it’s loud enough that you can hear it across the other side library.
