The Adams Center is an embarrassment to the University of Montana. Every event I have attended here has been accompanied with misery of some kind. Got handicapped people? I do. My handicapped people aren't in wheelchairs. They can walk. But only short distances and not up many (any stairs). But at the Adams Center you get to walk up stairs. The only way to avoid them? Trek, and I do mean trek, across the entire Adams Center to the elevator. Hey, that's great - except your seat is on the OTHER side of the Adams Center so now you get to trek all the way back to the side you started on. So then your handicapped people ending up walking painfully and slowly up (and eventually down) too many stairs to get to their seats. By the time they get to their seats it's difficult to enjoy whatever event they are there to see with all the pain.
This place may be good for basketball (I doubt it though). But it's not good for anything else. Graduation? Freaking sucks. No matter where you sit your too far away and too high to see much of your graduate other than their head. Concert? Same. Or if you're on the floor, it's too crowded together to move. Comedy show. I'm am NOT paying $100 to "see" a comic I won't be able to actually SEE. The annual craft show is a total joke. I don't know why they continue to use this venue. The show is convoluted and disorganized due to the freaky floor plan. And lack of AC? I seriously do not think this building has an HVAC system.
UM should do itself a favor and put together a capital fundraising plan to replace this building. Better yet - find a rich donor!
In the meantime, I will never attend another event at the...
Read moreClean up and set up is work but the UM employees work with our group and make everything a breeze for us. We clean the whole facility top to bottom to show this wonderful university of ours how appreciative we are to get to use this space. Thanks UM you guys running behind the scenes are great. It's a wonderful place to see our JW conventions and we usually draw a couple of thousand + so renting out this stadium gives us plenty of elbow room. Of course it's also a great place to watch basketball and other sports etc.
Before 🎪 circuses were a no-no, we used to bring the kids here to watch the acrobatic, and the kids could ride elephants, see lion, and such also. The university itself is getting a beautiful makeover. I can't wait to see all the plants and things they put in and the new buildings and parking area. I'm super excited. I love our UM. Go Griz we will see you...
Read moreOne of your security guards assaulted my best friend , left an huge mark on her and then we were treated like a joke trying to explain what happened. None of the other security guards would listen to us they took their buddy’s side immediately. The police sergeant came to talk to us and he literally coerced us into not pressing charges or else we would have to leave the concert we paid just under a grand for (4 vip tickets) He told us if we pressed charges they were going to press charges and he’d much rather us just go finish our concert in the back row and forget about the whole thing. We have interactions on video and I have photos of the mark the security guard left on my friend. I have never experienced such a thing with security or police officers. No statement no nothing. The concert was good everything...
