Awesome place and people!! Back story: A cat mysteriously appeared around my house during a stormy night and didn't leave after the storm three days later. My first motion on Saturday morning was to load the cat up and take it to the animal shelter in West Monroe. Driving up to that place gave me the creeps. The worker was very nonchalant.."Fill this paperwork out and if the cat is not adopted in 7 days we'll put "it" to sleep..". My daughter instantly broke down in tears. Then, my best friend sends me River Cities information and I head straight to their location. We were instantly greeted with such a warm welcome. After, they conducted their surrender process. I gladly paid the small fee required for them to keep the cat. All that to say, those people are truly operating in their calling and love cats. They were so friendly. My daughter was all smiles knowing that the cat was safe. They even suspected she might be pregnant. So for cat lovers looking to adopt, I would recommend them. Kim was consistently pleasant and the staff was very helpful. It is rainy out, but the staff was right there to help me get the cat food from my car.
