This place?!?!?! I want to move in here. I maybe want to WORK here!!! Lush displays, stunning downtown architecture, and music far older than its wonderful owner, Stewart..... I could be eternally happy here, amid an atmosphere I can't even come close to accurately describing. Today was my first visit to this amazing place. Happily abuzz with shoppers celebrating this shop's one year anniversary, this place has so much to see!!! I don't care how long you spend, I defy you to see every single item on display. Tucked among GORGEOUS, fabulously healthy plants are soooo many trinkets and treats.... abundant statuary, interesting antique items, plant stands, home decor.... all available to take home and bring a little of their charming space into yours. Also offered are lots of vendor items, including mugs, tumblers, jewelry, and furniture. We asked LOTS of questions, and despite being quite busy, employees were attentive and knowledgeable. Stewart knows his stuff! We were given information on our plant choices, and care cards specifically for each one. Also available is the option to have your new friend repotted for a small fee, and many interesting pots are also available to purchase. I was unabashedly dazzled by this place. I WILL be back.
Oh, I will SOOOOOO be...
Read moreI loved the idea of the shop but couldn't figure out how it was a business that could possibly be profitable until I visited. The Conservatory brings customer service to such a high level that there is no question about their customer retention. Upon my visit I asked the woman whom was working, named Sarah, if she could help explain why my English Ivy had little tiny spider webs all over it and was dying. She instantly knew what I was talking about and had a solution, quite literally, she had a SOLUTION for me to spray on it to take care of the problem and get it growing again. She gifted me the solution and told me to reach out to her on Facebook if it doesn't help so she could make me a different one. It is obvious to me that the staff cares about their customers and are experts in the field. I have not stopped telling people about this place since I visited. Theresa, my English Ivy, grew a new leaf today and one of her stems turned green again! She is on the road to recovery thanks to these delightful people at The...
Read moreI recently visited The Conservatory with a gift card from my student. As someone whose green thumb is more of a brown, shriveled twig (my plants tend to succumb faster than a wilting salad), I just wanted something easy to care for that wouldn't immediately kick the bucket.
Enter Sue! She was an absolute gem, a true horti-cultural hero. From the moment I walked in, it felt like she'd known me forever, probably even my plant-killing past. She truly branched out to understand my needs, guiding me through the options without making me feel like a complete cactus out of water. She helped me pick out the perfect, low-maintenance plant that I'm pretty sure even I can't mess up.
The customer service at The Conservatory is truly unbe-leaf-able. They really grow on you! Thanks to Sue, I'm now a proud plant parent, and I didn't even have to fern for it. Highly recommend this place for anyone, especially if you're a plant novice looking for some expert, friendly guidance – and...
