The park here is beautiful, the river is amazing to watch. Monroe as a town is quaint and the people are nice. The people at the hospital care about people, the oil change place in Monroe st is awesome! The Krogers is ..meh. Meijers was just remodeled. Good Places to eat. Independent Diary- YUM. Monroe is a town of Great history, it is overflowing there. Of great interest to vast amounts of people is the fact that General Custer of historical fame along with his entire family called Monroe Mi. their home. General Custer and his family, along with his famous wife Libby Bacon Custer, will live forever...

Grew up looking at this statue on the way to elementary school... Took specidltrecess breaks at the park under it... Now I'm ashamed to have it in the town I grew up in... He isn't from Monroe... He took land from natives he murdered and gave it to wealthy ...
