Veteran's Park — Attraction in Monroe

A paved bicycle/pedestrian path connects Veteran’s Park to the River Raisin Heritage Trail. There is also a paved walking path along the riverbank. Veteran’s Park is located west of Telegraph Road on the north side of the River Raisin. Veteran’s Park includes paved parking for approximately 75 cars, playground equipment, restrooms, picnic tables, benches, a drinking fountain, picnic shelters and several cooking grills. Some picnic shelters and tables are handicapped accessible. Shore fishing and places to view wild life along the river are also available. This is an awesome little park. It has a massive waterfall in it playgrounds, fishing area, places to sit and watch the wildlife or just have a picnic with the family. Everyone always has fun here especially exploring along the walking path they have which takes you up close to the waterfall. You can also go down to a special display section which tells you about Veteran's Park. It is a quiet, serene place with many areas in it. so much that even if kids are screaming at the park there are areas to be enjoyed in peace. Everyone from babies to seniors love it here.
