Very creepy experience. My guy and I had a cronut craving about 7 pm and the pictures in the yelp review looked pretty good. So we entered the establishment and it was weird because it was very dark inside. The doughnut case was very dark to see what was inside. Anyway a very small individual asked what we wanted. We had to repeat ourselves several times as if the proprietor didn't know what cronuts were. She said ok and took two cronuts out of the case and very slowly wrapped then. The total was about $7 and we gave her a debit card to run the transaction. She said she didn't know how to run the card machine and said she has to go get her sister. She went to the back of the shop and we did not see her for quite some time. The place is dark, quiet and somewhat creepy. After a few minutes I told my guy let's just leave. He said, no no here she comes. Several more minutes go by and no one can figure out how to run a debit card. Are you serious? There's no sign that says cash only. Plus, it was so dark in there. We were there about 10 minutes, nothing was purchased and we left. We had a small argument afterwards and then ended up laughing so hard at...
Read moreUnfortunately, this donut shop has ruined me on all other donut shops, and now, I must travel from the distant lands of Indio every weekend to get my fix at this place. Gas prices being what they are, this is single handedly bankrupting me. I can barely afford rent because of their apple fritters and croissants. I wish that I could quit, but I just can't. I know that I will be living in a cardboard box soon, but I almost don't care at all. I know I can live in the box closer to the shop when I quit my job to beg and eat donuts. The only other contributing factor compounding my addiction is the service of Luke. I only see him on the weekends, but he is, by far, the most savvy customer service agent that I have met in any business establishment in my long history of donut addiction. If anyone on this planet deserves a raise it is this young man. Please please please please give Luke a raise. If this man doesn't keep selling me this sweet addiction, I have fears that I may end my own life. I cannot keep suffering this way, but I also know I have no choice. Please frequent this great establishment. They deserve all of the riches...
Read moreWe were in need of doughnuts quite late in the day, at a time when doughnut shops are usually done and wiped out of inventory. Imagine our surprise when we just gave online search a try and found AM Donut & Yogurt open until midnight!! Hallelujah! We made our way over close to 6 pm and still had a decent selection to choose from.
We were looking mainly for cronuts and found a wide selection to choose from, even at night! Got a set of four cronuts for sharing and the prices range depending on how complex the toppings are. It came about $3 to $4 each. BF was also jazzed to find his favorite dense sprinkled doughnut here! They also have vegan doughnuts, which we have yet to try.
Customer service was excellent, from our very first visit to the several times after that we returned.
Parking is a bit limited in this small lot, as some people also park here for the Mexican restaurant next door, so if you don't see a spot, try to find one via street parking. Can't wait to return for my next...
