Montclair Public Library—Bellevue Avenue Branch — Attraction in Montclair

Recently decided to visit this library for some study time. However, I will not be coming back due to the lack of friendliness/professionalism from the front desk librarian. When I first walked in and asked her a question, she seems annoyed and later with 20 mins left to spare before closing time, she approached me and said, "better hurry and wrap up whatever you are doing, we are closing now." No one likes feeling rushed, and there was certainly a negative and condescending tone from her that was not appreciated. This is unfortunate knowing that the library is only a 5 min drive for me. Please address this and do some much needed training...

This is such a sweet place and gem in Montclair. I spent a good amount of time studying for the NY Bar Exam there this summer and I actually miss studying there. The staff is very sweet and easy going. This branch has a laid back small town vibe, very different from the main branch, which has its separate perks. I'm a regular patron of the library to check out books, but this review is specifically for the passport service. I made an appointment to bring my two year old in to submit her passport paperwork and get her photo taken, and it was the most efficient and pleasant experience.
