Cannot get my fill of this place! Every time I try something new I end up adding it to my order every time I go. We can literally eat here multiple times a week, it is SO good!!!
Favorites: Bang Bang chicken and beef!!! Beef in Garlic sauce! Singapore noodles! Won ton soup! Corn soup (we like to add some hot sauce and soy sauce to this)! Bbq pork (omg just like the ones I used to eat at the chinese food places when I ate meat)! And the scallion pancakes!!! —Try them—-!!!
Oh my goodness... try their Taro bubble tea!!! Yikes it is super!!!
This place is not the same as the one in Teaneck in the sense that I heard the food kind of tastes different and experiences are not equivalent.
We love the service here. They are so super friendly, helpful, fast and everything. They always make us feel at home.
One day I had a very tough day.... one of those days you are running non-stop and just feel like you really need a hug. Well, I called in my order a few minutes ahead of getting there and told them we were eating there. I think I did this, because it was a little late and we did not want to waste time and keep them there later, etc.. When I came in the gentleman showed me his smile and gestured toward one of the booths. I asked him for a tea before I even sat down. He reached out again and started pouring the tea that was already set up for me! I almost cried! Then he lifted the cover on my plate of beautiful Bang Bang Chicken and Beef! I felt like I was being hugged in a big way by the universe. These guys are just amazing and so is the food!!!
So, Monday evenings are typically slow times for restaurants I think... Well this place is filled even on a Monday evening. There are many good restaurants in the neighborhood, but this place always has patrons.
The food is 100% plant based, so 100% vegan/vegetarian (I am thinking the bubble tea might have milk product in it)....
I am grateful for this food and the folks who make...
Read moreI went with my sister and husband today. I have a gluten allergy. I know they have gluten free selections. I marveled at the gluten free soy sauce bottle on the table. I ordered the pork fried rice as fried rice is a delicacy for me. The waiter confirmed it was a gluten free selection. When it came, I poured the soy sauce all over it and began to chow down. I noticed there was no pork, and I was served vegetable fried rice. I informed the waiter who now told me that the pork was not gluten free. I changed my selection to the mango chicken. As he took my plate away, he proceeded to tell me that the soy sauce was not gluten free and that they just use that bottle and refill it with regular soy sauce. I was aghast. I confirmed it was definitely not gluten free as it has HUGE letters saying GLUTEN FREE all over it in many languages. He said again they just refill the bottle with regular. I went to vomit in the bathroom. I discussed this with my husband in front of waiter and asked for directions to the bathroom. This is my best option to avoid the inevitable later. I was so livid that I walked right from the bathroom directly out the door. I called my husband from outside the restaurant saying I needed to leave. And....THEY CHARGED US FULL PRICE FOR EVERYTHING. My husband wanted to get out of there so he didn't cause a stink. He did let them know how absolutely stupid that was. I'm just utterly aghast at the whole experience. BEWARE ANYONE WITH...
Read moreI’ve eaten here several times. If you’re vegan, be careful. Someone in the reviews here was saying they use dairy in some of their drinks. I saw honey on the menu - don’t know if it’s real honey.
This time I ordered the veggie noodle soup and the eggplant with garlic sauce. I asked if the eggplant dish had fish sauce and if the dumplings had eggs in them, and was told very angrily “no, this place is vegetarian”. Lol. The waiter then seemed pissed at me the entire time and only became friendly when it was time for me to pay the bill. Like, seriously - I can’t even ask questions? It is one of those places that use vegan and vegetarian interchangeably without knowing the true meaning of those words. So I will keep asking questions whenever I go again to be sure.
The food itself is nothing out of this world, and I’m not a super picky eater at all…Most of the things I’ve tried were “meh”, but the eggplant with garlic sauce was awesome - very flavorful and fresh looking/tasting. The soup was basically some undercooked modeles with veggies in hot water lol.
The restaurant itself is quite big, it was never crowded when I was there. There is a clean bathroom. Overall, it has been the only fully(?) vegan option in the area for a long time now so I am very thankful for that and will go again when I’m craving Asian food but don’t want to go to the city to my fav vegan spots. I’ll probably just stick to the eggplant with garlic sauce though to...
