Eagle Rock Cafe — Restaurant in Montclair

This environment was really good. I got a lot of work done and the staff was really nice. It's a quiet co-working space in middle of Montclair, so anyone that doesn't need to commute in the city should check it out. Why commute if you can just do work from home. Overall, the coffee was not the best I've ever had before but that's not the highlight of the place. There are two rooms in front that consist of the coffee bar and a couple tables. The other room is like a living room. It has a couch, a chair and a bookshelf with neat coffee art books. The middle room is more of a work area with high chairs and tables, an area for holding group gatherings, and a sound system. The back room is where the magic happens. There is a library being created with a ladder to reach the higher shelves. There are plenty of desks and space to sit and get a lot of work done. It has a great feel with ambient lighting. There are also "hot desk" mini rooms for phone calls and just a more private space, as well as a conference room with the ability to conference call and hold meetings. I was looking for a charming place to meet for coffee with an old friend and Eagle Rock Café did not disappoint when I walked in I was greeted by the burst of positive energy that is Jason. He is more than an incredible barista… Jason is a beverage chemist! From his knowledge of coffee, his amazing demeanor to the deliciously curated regular & seasonal menu, we knew we were in great hands. I throughly enjoyed the Bobbing 4 Apples tea from the Fall seasonal selection and my friend loved her Mocha with cardamom. Ladies and gentlemen this is one of the best cafes in and around clifton-paterson- garfield area where you can grab a very flavorful coffee and enjoy a little studying time. The cafe has plenty of seats for everyone and plenty of outlets. Mario and jason are both great baristas and are phenomenal with the customers.
