Words cannot even begin to describe how much I love Falafel Hut. We had my sister's baby shower in Montclair and I was in dire need of a restaurant that caters. I came across Falafel Hut through their great reviews online. We decided to place the order with Sam and it was the best decision. We had 70 people at the event and every single dish was devoured!
We got a variety of items: Chicken and lamb kebabs: the meat was SO fresh and juicy, and SO super flavorful. Highly recommend! Lamb at most restaurants can be tough, but theirs was still so tender! Falafel: it was so flavorful, not dry or oily at all! Both vegetarians and non-vegetarians enjoyed them! Hummus, Baba Ganoush, and Tabouli: their hummus is so smooth, the baba is delicious and the tabouli added the perfect freshness.
The service was wonderful, and everything was delivered perfectly on time! I really appreciated Sam taking the time to work with us on exactly how much we would need, and giving us his helpful insight. It made a world of a difference.
HIGHLY recommend if you're in the area looking for a great, fresh meal and if you're looking for catering, DO call...
Read moreI place an order for their plate called “Shizam” which clearly states that it brings two skewers. A beef skewer and lamb skewer. It comes with a salad, and a choice of rice/fries. I chose the fries. When the plate arrives at my table, I see the salad and fries in the plate, with some meatballs. I asked the lady who brought the plate, what’s the name of the meatballs. She said something along the lines of “Kaftda.” I was extremely disappointed cause I wanted skewers. I asked her “Where’s the skewers?” She said “You ordered the shizam!” It could be the menus fault, it could be the owners fault for putting skewers in his menu, it could be the lady with a bad attitude (glasses & short hair) for not clarifying why I looked un-satisfied with my food? The experience wouldn’t be as bad, if the meatballs were good. But they were horrible!!! Not good at all, it should be removed from the menu. Or at least clarify things to the customers who are paying $14 for a dish they...
Read moreBEST MEDITERRANEAN EXPERIENCE EVER!!! When I came to Falafel Hut for the first time, I was amazed by the delicious food and great customer service shown by everyone there. I looked at the menu and noticed the great selection of Mediterranean cuisine that was offered. I was then happily welcomed by staff and had my order taken. I sat down and took in the calm environment and warm lighting. Soon, my food was ready. Yum! The signature Hut’s Wrap was packed nicely with falafel, veggies, and some French fries too!! I was blown away by the amazing taste and creaminess of the hummus that I had with a piece of pita bread. Coming from an Arab, it was the best Arabic food I had ever tasted, and for this whole experience, I think Falafel Hut deserves the five stars I am giving it. You should definitely come and try the Hut’s Wrap and...
