Went to this Target (9/19/17) as my usual go-to for Market Pantry 'Birthday Cake' Ice Cream. I was told by associates that's it's a usually high turnover item. However, for the past month, the freezer display shelf has been empty. Three weeks ago, I asked an associate about when she expected it to be restocked? She stops what she's doing & disappears to the back of the store only to reappear with 1 half gallon of Cake Ice Cream. I let her know that I had only meant to query her about replenishing stock levels. But, since she had already retrieved one she might as well get another since I was looking for 2. Fast forward, to the following two weeks, the shelf is again empty. This time, I know what's up. I ask the associate nearest me about the stock levels of my fav ice cream in the back. She goes back and carts out 20 of each to be stocked for display. I am again handed what I ask for.
Now, I arrive today, and again the shelf is empty. Same scenario, different associate. I hold her up with my tale of woe knowing I'll only receive lip-service in the end. I am again handed my items that were hidden in the back and head for the self-checkout. This time, my Cartwheel App that I was sold on won't work and has logged me out. My password is invalid but a checkout associate scans my items for possible discounts but informs they have none. She then tells me that since the Carwheel App has migrated with the Target App, that is probably the reason for my glitch. I only have to RECREATE my account on the Target App now. Whatever...Like I'm going to take the time to do that. I let her know about my previous inconvenience knowing it will inconvenience her to hear my story. Her excuse is that the current remodeling of the store is affecting regular operations. I let her know that that alibi won't fly as an excuse for degraded customer service.
She is relieved by a senior manager who says that he's heard my story. But, in actuality, he's had enough of me as his attitude and body language is contemptuous and dismissive. He tells me that they restock items as soon as is necessary even as I tell him that is untrue based on my experience for the past month. His response is that I'm the 'sole' complaint regarding this issue, letting me know that I'm irrelevant (as a buying customer) and that it takes a class action for something to be rectified at Target. I tell him that as of our conversation, there are 17 (on hand) half-gallons of Cake ice cream in cold storage in the back to disprove his statement. He then dismisses me with "Have a nice day!" Awesome customer experience with a Target manager! Now where else can I post this lengthy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDonāt normally review markets but since the COVID-19 pandemic, have only been able to visit these essential places. Wanted to give some information about the Drive up experience and going into the store.
I have been coming here to get essentials and it is great to see that they have someone wiping down the carts so I wouldnāt have to do it myself.
Itās nice to know, even though they donāt have the biggest grocery section compared to a actual grocery supermarket, they carry a ton of food alternatives, like Oatly(they sell out fast) Beyond Meat, and pretty much the essentials you may need.
For Drive-Up it is super easy for you to order anything. I would recommend this over pick-up. All you need to do is order what you want, then select drive up. When you start driving you select āim on my way.ā It will ask you about sharing your location, I would select āshare this one timeā as I found this makes it even faster for them to bring out your item as soon as you arrive. Once you arrive you just park next to these designated Drive Up section of the parking lot, and a team member will bring the item out to you. (Note that if you share your location, you do not need to click a button that says āI am hereā )
One thing to note is that they have recently added a $1 charge in case you are going to be keeping the bags in California, in order to avoid paying more you can just bring your own bags and tell them you donāt need the bags.
In general I would recommend going here as it is safe and easy to get the things you need. Still thinking about how smart it was for stores like Target and Walmart to start having a grocery section. I just hope these will still count towards my credit card rewards as āAmerican...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am not a type of person to complain, but I was very upset leaving the store yesterday. I was looking for a particular product which I could see on the Target app that said it was in stock. I went ahead and made my way to where it was located and I found nothing. I then asked a team member that was nearby and she checked on her phone and said the item was on the back. She told me that she could not leave the floor to which I responded to her saying not to worry about it, I could ask someone else. I went to guest services where I encountered Larry. Heās been working there for years ever since I can remember going to Target so I figured he would be able to help me. He let me know that they were out of stock and did not have any in the back. He offered me to go to a target nearby where they could possibly have it in stock. I went back to where I found the other team member that helped me minutes before and let her know what he had said to me. She went to the back to check on the item for me and let me know they had a new box full of the items I was looking for. The only reason Iām giving three stars is because Ana was very sweet and helpful. Larry on the other hand that I know is upper management seeing as heās been working there for years was very unhelpful. How can you claim not to have something in the back without checking first? How is it possible that someone who has been working there less time was able to treat me better than somebody who has been working there forever. The store was not at all busy so I really donāt know why he couldnāt take 3 minutes (which is what Ana took) to find the product I needed. If you donāt like your job or donāt feel like doing it then why...
