Hot Topic — Local services in Montclair

This location has the most aggressive customer service I have EVER experienced. I walked in just to window shop and I could not go more than five minutes without being stopped by a worker. Three different workers came up to me back to back to ask me if I was looking for anything or if I needed any help. It got very annoying very fast and it got worse the longer I stayed. The vibe is very "buy something or leave". But the aggression doesn't end there. When I went up to purchase something they asked me multiple times if I wanted to make an account there and would not take no for an answer. Honestly, the lady who rang me up was really rude about the whole thing and made me feel like I was in the wrong for not wanting to sign up with them. The aggression and lack of selection makes me want to NEVER come back. Just go to the Ontario Mills...

Had the worst experience here at the Montclair Hot Topic. I waited in line at 6 am for a new release only to get kicked out by the manager because apparently someone accused me of leaving the line even though the surrounding people confirmed I was there. On top of that someone else got sent to the end on the line for using the restroom. I am very displeased with this stores management and store manager. I will no longer be supporting this Hot Topic even though I have been shopping here...

Amazing clothes, nice staff, great prices. I can also get some cosplay outfits. Like Harry Potter uniforms, or Cat ears black claw like nails and a black mask to play catwoman. The only this that gets me is they don't have 3X in anything but Tee's and tanks, but hey this place is still amazing with their jewelry, hair accessories, hair colors, and Disney products, as well as Marvel. They are also great for if a movie you like just came out with products they most likely...
