If I could give you guys a zero, Iāll give you two zeros for my experience at your new location in Montebello so to start out with I was experiencing the worst pain of my life due to a stomach virus so I kept throwing up and cramping and serious pain so I decided to get in the backseat of my sons car and he drove me to the emergency room to the door because I couldnāt walk by myself so he asked for a wheelchair. The security guard looked at him and told him to park the car first in the parking lot, which is a few feet away from there and he told me I have my father canāt walk because heās in serious pain so he looked at him and finally went to go grab a wheelchair took my father to admission. So the girls on the admissions office said I had to wait because they were busy so I waited for almost 40 minutes in a wheelchair dying of pain throwing up in front of everybody. It was so embarrassing for me and I had so much pain. They wouldnāt see me really quick so finally the nurse comes out and takes me and takes my vitals and then places me in this office looking room, which is not even a patient room. It was very small. If I felt awkward they left me in there for at least another 30 minutes. Finally, the doctor comes in, tells me, what is my issue and I explained to him where I was with pain so he said he was gonna give me a pill for my pain and some other pill to stop throwing up so finally another 20 minutes almost half an hour the pills come I finally take the pills I get a little bit of relief not as much my throwing up stopped thank God, but the pain continue to be there. They gave me a 5 mg pill. Why didnāt they give me anything stronger and why didnāt they give me any IV because I was so dehydrated for two days throwing up in my house I felt like I was being ignored , I really felt helpless and Iāve never ever felt like that in an emergency room. I am a patient that goes in and out of the emergency room before it became white memorial Beverly Hospital had issues with seeing patients quickly. So then by the end of the night after nine hours of being there nine hours later, I ask the front admitting secretary where is my release papers? Did they forget about me? Iāve been in the lobby sitting out here in pain for about two hours and she told me, I donāt know what to tell you you need to ask the nurse when she comes out that door I looked at her I said are you serious? You can get up and go through the door and go ask the nurse for an update on my on my paperwork thatās some serious negligence so Iām leaving this review down for the first time after my experience there with you guys I really donāt see myself ever going to your hospital again and I donāt live that far. Thatās why I choose to go there in my condition that night. I seriously need help from a doctor which I didnāt get . I was treated with a lot of negligence so all Iām asking is for you guys to retrain everybodyās job to where you guys can at least be up to standard retrain everybody itās not a trauma center. You guys aināt that busy thereās people that are really serious condition out here right now because due to the coronavirus creeping back up thank God I didnāt have that in my system it was just a virus stomach flu, but that hurt and I needed serious attention that day and I didnāt get it so you guys need to retain and get your program together , you guys are at emergency room...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in for an EKG as I was feeling heart palpitations for 30 plus minutes. They took me in fairly quick I'm assuming because it was something to do with the heart. I was triaged, given an EKG and given a room the guys at the triage told the nurse to put me in any available room he saw a room open with no one in it and placed me there. This was at 6:00 p.m.. I sat there and waited got up and walked around because I also went in with back pain which they knew about I walked around in the room sat down and I waited for 2 hours I had a feeling this is not normal it's now 8:00 p.m.. I got up went to the nurse's station and asked what is going on I've been waiting for 2 hours and no one has came to see me. The nurse at the station asked my name she looked on the hallway at another room went back on her computer and it told me she will let the doctor know. I went back to the room I was put in waited another 40 minutes then a doctor comes in and says my name. He says oh we've been looking for you we've been calling your name! I said I didn't hear anybody say my name nobody came into my room and asked me if I was me. Then he continues on to ask me why I was there what I'm feeling I gave them all my symptoms and he says okay we're going to take care of you and run some tests to see how your heart's doing. Mind you I was given an EKG at 6:00 p.m. it is now 8:00 p.m. I was sitting in that room for 2 hours wondering if my heart's okay can I have a heart attack now am I having a heart attack why am I having hard palpitations. So I said is my EKG fine it's my heart find and my test results come off fine because that was my main concern for 2 hours and he says oh yes your EKG came on normal. When he walked in that room he should have gave me my EKG results told me my heart was normal and then proceeded to ask me what my symptoms are and why I'm there that's what he should have done not leave me there for 2 hours while I'm over here wondering what's going on. After I found out that I was actually placed in a room that was already assigned to a child and that I was supposed to be two rooms down when the charge nurse the mail charge nurse found out what was going on he said I'll take care of you the doctor asked the nurse to give me a cup to collect some urine they gave me the cup they didn't write my name on it they didn't label it they just gave me a cup and a bag then she told me to give it to any nurse at the station I walk by and I seen a sign that said place your in specimens here so I said to myself maybe this is where they go wow she was a young nurse. I told the charge nurse the mail charge nurse I said he will take care of me after he realized the screw up I said my urine specimen has no label on it how are you guys supposed to identify that it belongs to me and he said I'll take care of it after that I heard my name called out back to back for blood draws for x-rays for medication I didn't wait more than an hour and I was discharged paperwork was ready to go but this was after the fact they found out I was waiting for 2 hours because I was placed in an assigned room...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been disabled since 1964. now confined to a wheelchair. I used to call Beverly Hospital my home, as of 2/23/2024 I broke my tibula-fibula of my right leg. Because my leg did not need surgery the wanted to release Sat.!! I waited about 10 hrs in ER before getting a room and a Dr. Saab wanted me to leave Saturday night since i did not require surgery being disabled for 60 yrs, I knew that 2 days would be enough for me to feel secure in being D/C'd! . This Dr.Saab (admit Provider) wanted me out Sat. night, extremely arrogant, had the audacity to ask me what my goal was? he began to use "SCARE" tactics by telling me Im being exposed to a myriad of diseases that i could catch but the Dr. did not wear a mask?! kind of hypocritical don't you think. Sun. he apologized for making me feel as if he was throwing me out ! I would not dignify that with an answer. He then proceeded to try and D/C called Dr.Pelton who just reiterated Dr. Saab. I requested a SocWorker but there was no one on duty, so i could file a grievance against him and the hospital and asked him about JCAHO, he was dumbfounded and did not know so I explained it to Dr. Saab, he left and I was D/C'd this afternoon 2/26/24. which is all i requested from him on Fri. was 2 days under observation and i would graciously leave. The staff was sitting around and a few nurses did there job, in my situation RN SOL and another RN whose name i do not recall were checking on me and made sure I was ok! I thank them for all they did and remembered they were former "Beverly Hospital" employees, you could see the difference in their bedside manner. Dr. Saab's behavior and his articlation was that of an inexperienced "Ambulance Chaser" he wanted turnover and more patients, he had no bedside manner, his anxiety to get me out of the hospital was with determination, he put me on the defensive and unfortunately and I considered it harassment (CPC 646.9) the hospital seems to be more of an overflow hospital and if you cant make them money then you are discharged ! I pray the hospital gets better administration and doesnt take this out on its employees and most of all relieve Dr. Saab of his duties, he is not qualified !! I will not be a statistic for any...
