Utterly Disappointed. This management has failed to deliver on many things that I would not want to trust anymore. There are a few things I would like to point out.
When we first moved into Somerset, a very helpful and responsive leasing agent, Kevin Le treated us well. He informed us that the leasing office can receive packages for us, should there be any packages require attention while we are out of the house. Turns out the management lady that is located in the office (walk in and to the right) denied all claims and said the leasing office would never take any packages. Great, I found that out the hard way, lost my package.
If you have more than one car in your household, think twice, no, think THREE times before moving to Somerset. Each unit is only assigned one space for the garage. I expressed my concern and Kevin was kind enough to accommodate me to communicate with another tenant, who can’t park her car inside the garage since it is a pickup truck. Two months later, the tenant moved out, and I wanted to discuss potential spaces that other tenants may be willing to transfer to me and receive a payment from me instead, since there is a lot of unused spaces in the row of garages, and some residents even taking up two spaces to place their tools and non-operational vehicles. The same management lady in the office (walk in and to the right) simply said “no” and refuses to provide any assistance. This is how you treat tenants that have signed a 9-month contract, expecting me to accept everything?
Fine, no additional garage space available, how about outdoor parking! Somerset has announced to all residents that they are working on a Reserved parking system, effective September 1st. I immediately signed up and I’ve regularly checked in with them to inquire about the progress. I was informed by a wonderful female agent that I’m the 13th on the list, with 14 spots available, I double-checked with them over the phone to ensure I would have A SPACE when the time comes around. Guess how long it takes them to set up the parking system? A FULL month later, October 6th, they are finally calling the residents on the waiting list to go over the contract. I waited patiently for their phone call, thinking it must be their usual slow pace, until Saturday October 9th, I decided to go over to the leasing office and ask in person. NOW THEY TOLD ME I AM THE 14TH IN LINE WITH 13 SPACES AVAILABLE. Again, is this how you treat your residents, given your delays, and failed promises? I have been patiently waiting for a MONTH to hear “sorry, you can’t have a space”? I could have been searching for an underground garage and store my car in the meanwhile.
NON-COMMUNICATIVE, REFUSING TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE, and INCOMPETENT TO DELIVER PROMISES. That’s how I would summarize this joke of a management or even their entire managing company. I am gathering phone evidence for their promise for records, and will not hesitate to go further, given I am being ignored, mistreated or even discriminated against for a matter as simple as a parking space. Speechless....
Read moreI've lived here for 2 years and I am moving out. They have raised up the price on our 2 bedrooms every year. The inside is nice. Great floor and interior. I love that the master bedroom has a spacious closet. HOWEVER MY CAR HAS GOTTEN BROKE INTO 2 TIMES! They stole my battery AND CUT OFF MY CAR ALARM. And my boyfriend parks his Mercedes in the PARKING GARAGE AND YOU HAVE TO SHARE IT WITH A NEIGHBOR AND IF THEY FORGET TO CLOSE THE GARAGE DOOR YOURE SCREWED! MY Boyfriends Mercedes window got Smashed and they stole the GPS that was inside and took my leather jacket. This is a ghetto neighborhood and I am really disappointed On the MANAGEMENT! They try but somehow they simply do NOT CARE! I told them about it and they seriously brushed it off. I told them they should remind all everyone to close their garage doors because everyone has to share it and I don't want anyone breaking and smashing my car window ever again. That happened last year but just recently, I called for maintenance because I heard something weird under the floor of our living room. sounded like water pipes spilling out water. I told management and he said he is sending someone to come check it out. 1.5 hours later! I had to wait that long when he said that he was sending someone in 15 mins. The only thing decent about this place is probably the mantience guys who help fix the apmts. They're the only ones who actually come back when they say they will come back to help and mean it. The manager really doesn't care. You have to track these mantience guys down and ask them in person to help. And they will do it. Which I really appreciate. Don't bother calling the office/ manager. They don't care.
Seriously, this place needs new management. The interior is great. But not sure if its worth all the money I've spent trying to get my cars fixed and my safety. I work late too so I would have to park far and walk to my apt. Not too mention there is BARELY ANY STREET PARKING!
IF YOU DRIVE 2 cars, good luck with 1 car. CAUSE street parking is ridiculous. There are also graffiti on the walls near the apmts. If you care about stuff like that.
Everyday I pray that my car doesn't get stolen when I park on the street.
Oh and Laundry ... I have to do my laundry at 1am since it seems like everyone is doing laundry every day at every hour! I've noticed its hard to do laundry during the day time or even evenings. You gotta do it like from 7am to 11am or some time around 9pm to 2am. That's what I have concluded while living...
Read moreI have lived in Somerset for some time now and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience so far. The leadership and dedication of the Community Director, Erica Gallegos, and a key member of the maintenance team, Neto, have truly stood out to me. Erica is an exceptional leader who goes above and beyond to ensure the community runs smoothly. From organizing engaging events to addressing residents' concerns promptly, she demonstrates genuine care for the well-being of everyone here. It's clear that Erica is passionate about creating a welcoming and vibrant community, and it really shows in every aspect of her work. Neto, a member of the maintenance team, is equally impressive. He is incredibly skilled, responsive, and always willing to help with a smile. Whether it's a minor or a major issue, Neto handles it with professionalism and efficiency. His friendly demeanor and commitment to maintaining the community at its best make living here a pleasure. I also want to give a special shout-out to Mr. Jorge (the sweetest man you will ever meet) and Felipe for their outstanding work. They are always attentive and quick to respond to any maintenance requests, ensuring that everything is in top shape. Their dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed, and it greatly contributes to the overall positive living experience at Somerset.
