Hilltop Park Center — Attraction in Monterey

The park itself is beautiful and maintained. Wondering will anyone honestly answer this though. Does the park have a contract with the pre-school or is it separate, for anyone to use at anytime? I had a experience here while on vacation with a friend of our who has an autistic son. The plan was to bring our breakfast and at 11 go to Hilltop park and get a table inside the enclosed area with a gate. Around 11:15 before my friends get there a "Karen" says "this area is for the school you can find another table. Come back to that one in 20 minutes." Not knowing how late or on time our friends would be I left. It was summer and no signage was posted. The school used the park for 45 more minutes not 20. Don't think this should be. Took 2 stars off for that. One star off for location I think was hard to get to or find. Don't you dare go to park from 11-12 is the unwritten...

We have been very happy with Hilltop Park Center. My daughter attends the prek class part time. We also sign up for the additional activities which are great and extend past the scheduled class time. I only hope they add more classes because the pre k is from 10- 1 and for working parents it is great to have the additional classes that are offered. More parents should take advantage of these great programs. They are completely affordable and my daughter...

Pros: There are playground structures for kids of all ages, plenty of picnic benches/seating, and a grassy field to kick or toss a ball around in. Theres a tree that looks like it’s be fun to climb if your child is into that too. Cons: It does get busy during the morning with kids from the recreation center and I don’t believe there are any...
