It was nice to be able to let dog run around off leash,as the other areas in town are restrictive about dogs and drones. There is a detailed sign here as well. I didn't see any dog police, but I'm sure on the weekends . The regular dog poop bag dispenser was empty so we were offered these lame apparent home made dog poop bags. Hope the city didn't pay too much for them. With all the regulations about dogs they didnt care about keeping up the park. Lots of dry dead wood and brush ready for a windy day and a psycho with a blow torch. Homes all around. With pacific palisades all burnt I would have thought the city would be concerned about burning up. Also be careful how you park. We got a $50 ticket for not parking correctly. The city seems to try to get as much money as possible...

Best dog park I’ve ever been to. It’s located in the Pebble Beach forest directly adjacent to an outer parking lot used by Spanish Bay employees. This 30 plus acre park is free, has multiple trails, and is a great place for FRIENDLY dogs to run off leash and have fun. I don’t have my own dogs anymore but I have four grandogs who visit and who I take care of when my kids travel. I like the park so much, I frequently go there without a dog just for the opportunity to take a nice walk in the woods and pet a friendly dog. Bring your leash and be prepared to leash your dog if he misbehaves or isn’t up for being friendly. Really, if you have a pit bull, Doberman, German shepherd, or Husky, I think for the sake of all the other friendly dogs and owners, you should take them...

I used to take my dog to this lovely place until a horrific incident happened in March 2019 that made me not want to go back, even though we weren't there at the time of the incident. A local woman had to go into the hospital and asked a friend to care for her dog. She instructed the friend to not take her to a dog park, and to not let her off the leash. While the owner was in the hospital the friend took the dog to this park and let her off-leash. The dog attacked another, smaller, dog and the small dog's owner stabbed the woman's dog to death in an effort to save his dog. I'm sharing this so people can be aware of the...

Very nice place in the middle of the city. Lots of trees and fresh air. A lot of little trails to follow. I didn’t have my dog when I visited but lots of other had theirs with them and it seemed like an area that is good for a dog to run around in.

Lovely little patch of wild Pacific Grove Oak and pine forest. Trails for an afternoon stroll or dog walk with lots of bird life, especially acorn woodpeckers. Preserved native plants and wildflowers. Great place to get away from the tourists.
