America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses — Attraction in Montgomery Township

I’d give it a five star IF we had the district (?) manager back, Laura, and if everyone else was more like Laura and Donna. Laura def knew what she was doing. Last year, she adjusted my frames to exactly what I needed. There was a lady last year who tried, and INSISTED that I was wrong about how the glasses felt in MY face. But, Laura was like… “no, it’s slanting right there” and fixed it. She just saw it on the table and on my face and knew what needed to be done. I was afraid for others to help until Donna came in. She was another who knew EXACTLY what I needed. She also has a daughter who has similar face shape/struggles that I did. One year later, she remembers me. The lady before her tried to fix this NEW frames on me. And she made it like the worst possible fit. Donna the next day saw it and already knew what was wrong and looked baffled at how the lady “fixed” my frames. She did it quite well and offered me to come back again if it slides down. Well, as she suspected it did slide down. She knew it…. And search for a silicon nose piece, and it did the trick. Good for Laura who made it to the “too” but I miss her. Updated review: After a return trip and discussion about the issues, they have taken care of things in quick fashion. I wound up upgrading to a different type of progressive lens. They were very willing to help, which I greatly appreciated. Very pleased with the new glasses and service.

Original review: If you need simple lenses, maybe ok - if you need anything more complex, I would recommend somewhere else. Prices advertised are misleading. I have progressive lenses and when we sat down to review pricing, the girl started by telling me that the 2 pairs of glasses I had chosen would be well in excess of $600. When it was all said and done, I felt as though I had been put through the ringer and, while I did save some money over LensCrafters, the glasses I received at America's Best seem like inferior quality. The lenses also do not seem to be crafted properly, as my reading alignment is way off. I’m so glad I went to America’s Best when I was due for an eye exam and new eyeglasses last month.

My quality of life has improved now that I am wearing the proper prescription! Props to Dr Stacey Allen Baugaard for taking the time to explain the drastic change in my prescription!

There was a glitch in their computer system and they couldn’t process my insurance info. Natelle was a patient saint! She spent hours on the phone trying to work this out, and never once lost her composure. She was so exceptionally pleasant - I told her she was my now new BFF!

And then there was Sarah, who did my frame fitting. Also very professional and pleasant, and she gave me a follow up call as well to make sure that I was happy with how my new frames felt. Can’t say I’ve ever had that before in all the years I’ve been wearing eyeglasses.
