There is a special sensation that comes with visiting a place that feels like a familiar home. I come from the area of San Antonio, TX. I travel around the country and have eaten in so many restaurants, and believe me, some were bad and some were terrible. It is important to note that if you are unfamiliar with Mexican cuisine; it is not advisable to visit a Mexican restaurant and then criticize the management or staff if the food does not meet your expectations. I have been fortunate enough to travel around the globe. Based on the reviews I have seen, I do not believe that you have been fairly represented. Consequently, here is the news. Upon entering your exquisite restaurant, your host warmly welcomed me. It would be beneficial for her to show better customer acknowledgement on 05/18/2023. It is imperative that she demonstrate her enthusiasm for her job, otherwise she should consider an alternative career. This is regarding the business and how we should treat our customers, to not be offensive. It is ultimately their actions that will determine the strength or weakness of your business. The server responded quickly to my requests. I am delighted when the server is performing her job effectively. I was not able to adequately articulate how excellent her work was. Since she did not possess a name tag. It is essential that we are thoughtful when addressing others to avoid causing any offense. The food was exceptional, possessing a great depth of flavor and a vivid assortment of colors. In comparison to the other Mexican Restaurants I have been to, this one is superior. I ordered the fries with beef as an accompaniment, and it was incredibly delicious. I find myself desiring to keep eating more of this hearty meal. The chicken enchiladas I had here were superb, this is the best dining experience I have had. The service requires attention and care. I gave you a rating of five out of five. We love this place. It’s the perfect place for a date or a family. The atmosphere is noisy enough that your neighbors can’t listen to your conversation but quiet enough that you don’t have to shout to each other. The food is great. Serving sizes are above average, which is so nice when you’re super hungry. The drinks are spot on. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. Honestly this is our go to the majority of the time we go out and aren’t looking for a high-end atmosphere. Also I’d like to note that I rarely write reviews unless the establishment does something that stands out. While grand rodeo is more than above average for their price point, which should be enough to stand out their Cleaning routine is actually what made me write this review. We have witnessed them closing up the restaurant a few times Because our life schedules run late. I can wholeheartedly say that I have never seen another restaurant clean as thoroughly as they do here. I bet you’ve never seen a restaurant put a flashlight shining across the floor to make sure that there is no dirt particles when they sweep. I’ve also watched employees happily clean every single booster seat and child seat top to bottom, no matter whether they look like they were used or not. Gran Rodeo has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants to go to, and is BY FAR the best Mexican restaurant in the Montgomery county area. We are always greeted warmly when we walk in; seated quickly; and promptly served a large bowl of complimentary chips and salsa (which they will refill if you want). The chips and salsa are excellent, and it's hard not to fill up on those alone before you even get your main course! The menu is extensive, to say the least, and it's truly hard to choose just one dish. I seriously doubt you can go wrong with anything you order, which always comes out quickly and very hot! My go to has been the Fajitas Burrito, which always leaves me smiling and full! However, my last visit I went off script and ordered the chicken fajitas for one, which the server said could easily serve two. WOW!! He wasn't kidding!! The mound of sizzling chicken, onions, peppers and tomatoes was huge! It was fantastic!! SO GOOD!! For desert we had the flan, which was fantastic!! Our servers have always been great, attending to us with a smile and pleasantries, which always makes the meal better. Atmosphere is great, and the seating comfortable.
