I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this place today. I ordered two dozen donuts via the drive-thru, but there was a series of errors that made the visit very unpleasant.
Initially, I ordered two dozen donuts, but the male cashier misunderstood and gave me only four. When I clarified and asked for the correct amount, he gave me another 20 donuts but charged them separately. Instead of canceling the original order for four donuts and entering a new one for two dozen, he placed a separate order for the additional 20, resulting in an unexpected charge of around $38 instead of the expected $30.
To add to the frustration, the cashier forgot to return my credit card. Fortunately, I noticed it before leaving the mall and returned to the store to retrieve it. The cashier apologized and returned my credit card, which was in his pocket. Come to think of it, it's hard to understand why someone would put a customer's credit card in his pocket.
Also, the inconvenience continued when I discovered the extra charge later on, requiring me to return to the store to have it corrected.
While the new cashier did eventually fix the charges and consolidated them into a single correct transaction for two dozen donuts, the whole ordeal wasted a lot of my time and was quite exasperating. And they offered me two extra donuts as compensation, which I found to be very insulting and patronizing. I felt like they were telling me to be satisfied with the two donuts and go away.
Overall, the service was very disappointing, and the errors made during my visit were unacceptable, and the way they took care of the situation was inept. I hope they can improve their processes to prevent similar issues in the future. The quality of their original glazed donuts is top-noted, but they should definitely improve...
Read moreToday, I visited a newly opened Krispy Kreme location near my home to take advantage of the “Buy one dozen, get one Grinch Glazed dozen free” deal. I’m a huge fan of Krispy Kreme and have always supported the brand. Since there are no Krispy Kreme locations in Pennsylvania, I usually buy dozens of donuts whenever I travel to another state. That’s how much I love Krispy Kreme donuts.
However, my experience today with this location and the service was very disappointing. The online ordering system was down, so I had to place my order in person. While the store itself was new and clean, the staff did not seem the same. Not a single staff member appeared to follow proper hygiene practices, such as wearing clean uniforms or hairnets.
When I tried to get the free Grinch Glazed donuts as part of the promotion, they said there weren’t enough, so I had to share the quantity with the next customer. I didn’t mind and generously accepted the free donuts, even if they weren’t Grinch-themed. However, as you can see in the photo, the quality of the donuts I received was so poor that I couldn’t hide my disappointment.
Am I supposed to feel grateful for this kind of quality just because it was free?
When I first asked about the deal, the staff didn’t even know it existed. To make things worse, the manager seemed reluctant to honor the free dozen, claiming that none of the promotions could be applied due to the system being down. The entire interaction left a bad impression from the start.
I was so excited and thankful to finally have a Krispy Kreme location in my neighborhood, but now I can’t help but feel deeply disappointed. I truly hope this location improves its service and hygiene so it can become a place I would want to...
Read moreSo i was beyond excited to hear we were getting a Krispy Kreme donut shop in our area and i could not wait to indulge in 2 of my all time, favorite KK donuts ever, glazed raspberry filled and glazed vanilla cream filled! Tried to order online, and much to my surprise, glazed vanilla cream filled wasn't even on the menu! Truly disappointing! Thought it was a mistake, so i even called the store directly to inquire. Whoever answered the phone told me they are only selling certain types of donuts currently. Huh?!?! They had glazed lemon filled she offered! Smh. NOT helpful but thanks! Ordered a dozen donuts for the fam anyway and they arrived. Sadly nothing special and definitely not the delicious, flavorful, donuts i remember! They've also definitely shrunk the size of their donuts also. VERY disappointed and totally underwhelmed considering KK used to be my favorite chain donut shop! Unfortunately, i feel like KK is following the awful Dunkin model and getting away from what made them great....making excellent donuts! The worst part for KK is not many people like their coffee so that could be an issue for them! Just another example of corporate greed and executives more worried about making MORE money and allowing their once quality products and the consumers who buy them to suffer and pay more money for worse products! If you're looking for delicious donuts locally, Yum Yum donuts is your best choice! I have a feeling KK donuts will not be around Montgomeryville area very long again due to...
