Stopped in here today hoping to find a bureau for my daughter. There was a big sign that said 50% furniture. I didn't realize until I was inside that that was only for items $50 and under. I found one I did like and my daughter really needs one, so I asked if there was anyone who could help me to my car with it. Instead of saying yes, I'm told yes after I pay. Okay.... So you won't help me steal? Cool cool cool... So I stand in line to be waited on and find out I need to get a slip to buy furniture and I'm pointed to another woman. Go over and wait for her to look up and she points me to yet another woman. This woman was actually helpful and sweet, thanks Claudia! She told me just get rung up and pull my car around the side to the double doors and ring the buzzer. So I drop $85 on a used dresser and pull my van around. Buzz the buzzer, no one comes. Buzz it again and again at different rhythms with a few mins in between. 10 minutes go by. I call the store phone and whenever answers tells me two lies 1) the buzzer is broken. Okay well I can hear the buzzer through the doors... She also told me to just go in the doors. I tell her they are locked so she says she'll send someone out, but I could also "knock really loud" on the doors. So I wait another few mins for someone to come out and no one does. It's now been 20 mins. So I pound on the doors!! And this man comes peaking out at me and I tell him I'm here to pick up my dresser. He just stares imperiously at me AND SAYS NOTHING. I hold out my slip he takes it and asks, "when did you buy this?" So I say 10 mins ago. I say nothing about standing there for 20 mins and being ignored. I'm just happy to finally see someone. He asks if they wrote my name on the dresser? Next he asked me who rang me up? Describe them, what is their name? WHAT IS HAPPENING I JUST WANT MY DRESSER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I'm babbling trying to remember what anyone in the world has ever looked like when I remember Claudia! Yes CLAUDIA WROTE THE SLIP PLEASE SIR MAY I HAVE SOME BUREAU?! Convinced he goes back inside. About 10 more minutes later he comes through with my dresser. Trunk of my minivan is open and he gets someone to help him load it. After thanking them both I get back in my car and hear him saying, "it's just one of those days today." Yes sir it be like that sometimes. All told 30 mins after first buzz I leave. So if you're into this whole thing, def check out...
Read moreI used to visit this location a few times a year, but it's been awhile. This morning was my first visit in probably 2 years. To say I was disappointed would generous. Horrified is a better word.
I arrived at opening and was the second customer in the door. I stopped in the men's room before shopping and was mortified at the condition of the restroom. Having worked in the retail and hospitality industries, I know how dirty bathrooms can get with heavy traffic. But this was something different. I would estimate kindly that this bathroom had not been cleaned in weeks, or more likely, months. The urine smell almost knocked me over as did the level of filth on every surface in the room. Sinks, urinal, mirror and toilets are all uniformly filthy. Again, this wasn't one or two skipped cleaning days. This was grime.
Sadly, the condition of the store was not much better. The floors on the sales floor were just as disgusting. I don't know that they have been swept in probably years. There was dust and grime over just about every product. The shelves were poorly stocked in terms of product category, many items covered in dust, and literal trash all over.
To make matters worse, the employees are rude and not very helpful. And finally, the prices are beyond absurd. Seeing broken down old furniture selling for hundreds of dollars, especially given the poor condition was laughable.
This is truly disappointing as this was a place I enjoyed visiting. Now that work close by I was thinking of making this a regular stop but after today, I'm hard pressed to think of a...
Read moreThis is the best Liberty store in PA, but that’s not saying much. For the most part staff is super friendly and the prices are either super good or super bad, so I usually find some good stuff and some disappointments, though today I had to go through three different employees for a basic question (the question was: why was a Wii system split up and priced this weird way, ie, $25 for the console, $25 for the power supply, $25 for the A/V cables. Or was it all together? I just wanted to know and nobody seemed to know). The first girl was cool, just a cashier so she couldn’t help me and handle customers. Then she called someone (Melinda?) who I just asked “is that system sold together” and she didn’t know, so the THIRD dude comes out and he’s just some pricer guy I think but he came off as a d!ck. Condescending too. Gave me so much attitude for asking, like bruh I didn’t call you here from the back, your coworker did. Didn’t answer anything. Told him I wasn’t interested in the system if you’re just gonna make it impossible to use without buying every piece of their split. Left such a bad taste in my mouth I put back the other stuff I was gonna get. Overall you’ll find some good stuff here on occasion. Most of the staff is very friendly, two of the managers in particular are some really cool dudes. But for real. Don’t split up game consoles. It makes you...
