Jasper County Library — Attraction in Monticello

This is the best library to bring your children to! I'm from Jackson, but after a very bad experience at our local library after my daughter and I arrived back in the USA because of covid; I had decided to either give up on libraries, or find another one. When I worked in Monticello before I was married and moved away, I had really liked the vibe and staff of this library... And I'm so glad I took my daughter here for our last ditch effort trying libraries!!! The staff are caring, friendly, and it's more like the library in Jackson used to be about 20 years ago, just updated a bit! It's clean, tidy and the media is presented in a way that makes you want to read! I am so grateful for how understanding they have been when my two year old isn't quite quiet enough, and she gets so excited when we she can see we're going to...

Such a cozy and inviting little library. The staff is always helpful and friendly! On the very first day we were told about all the programs, deals and apps that were available to the library card holders (nobody told us a single thing at the Newton County Library).
