Silverleaf Furniture Store — Attraction in Moore

Silverleaf has my business for any future furniture needs I have. I rolled in the store in my big electric wheelchair looking for a recliner. The first one I saw as I rolled in got my attention, correct color, nice and sturdy fabric upholstery that was very attractive and soft to the touch, but wasn't some paper thin covering that would wear out quickly, this was quality. When I put my hand on the seat is when I saw that it rocked, which for me is a little dangerous to transfer from my wheelchair to it because of that movement. I rolled around the store looking at more chairs, but I kept coming back to look at this one chair. I saw a man named Braden and asked him if they had any chairs in this shape, style and color that didn't rock and I explained why that was needed. He walked through and checked many chairs, and I had a lot of choices, but that first one just had me, it was everything I wanted, except for the rocking. Braden remembered they had sold a number of chairs to a nursing home that they did a small modification to stop the rocking. He had the store owner come out and we looked at chairs and discussed locking down this chair. Yes it could be done for the chair that had me by the seat of my pants. To confirm it all, their technician was just returning and they asked him if it could be done for certain with this chair, and the answer was yes. They modified the chair and delivered it several hours earlier than previously scheduled.Me being an old guy who has turned a lot of wrenches in my life had to see how they modded it. So I looked below and saw the brilliant little mod that was even painted black to match the frame that nobody would really ever see. That's impressive attention to detail on something that isn't seen. That's quality work. all of the store staff are great to talk to and make you very comfortable to be there. My husband and i have purchased furniture several times from silver leaf. We truly believed this place was a wonderful place to purchase from. We were wrong. Supposedly we were told we only had 18 months to pay off our furniture but my husband and I were both 100% positive that the day we signed the paperwork we were told longer than 18 months. Now all they keep saying is the signed paperwork shows 18 months. So to me it seems they told us another number out loud & then had us sign paperwork that said something completely different. I would not have paid $4,000 for furniture had I only had 18 months to pay it off. I had $100 dollars left on my bill & when I went to pay off the final $100 I was told $1500 had tacked on in interest. Supposedly I had missed the promotion period by 1 month. I tried calling the financier & they couldn’t help me, they told me to reach out to the furniture store. I had high hopes that Jason would be able to help us out since we had purchased from them several times, and also since my parents had purchased from them for years, but no. Jason was quick to cut me off on the phone several times to just repeat that he never makes a promotional period past 18 months. These people are crooks. Do not waste your time or money here. Me, nor my parents who have been customers with them for several years will EVER be back to buy furniture from them. And I hope nobody else gets sucked into buying furniture from this place.
