I have been ordering from Mandarin Chef for 15 years. Tonight, I ordered General Tso's Chicken and some fried beef wontons. I get a plate ready, and after a few bites, I realize I have yet to come across the "chicken" portion of the general tso's chicken. All breading. Every single piece. I bite into a wonton. All breading with a literal thumbnail sized speck of meat inside. I hopped in the car, drove my general tso's breading back up there, and asked what on earth they thought they were trying to pull. They said "oh wow, no way" all weird, and claimed it "must be because of the holiday" and that there is always chicken in there. I went through every piece left in my meal and broke it apart for them to prove there was zero chicken. The daughter that works the front counter just stood back with her head down, clearly ashamed, but still complicit. Don't let this place scam you, they are no longer a decent restaurant.

First, let me say this... For the money, the food is 5 stars. $7 gets you a lunch with a large helping of meat, fried rice and an egg roll, soup or a soda. These days, that's cheaper than McDonalds. If I were to pay $12 for the same meail elsewhere, I would call it 4 stars. Everything was freshly cooked. The egg roll was good - standard fare - and the chicken was better quality than most other Chinese Take-out spots. However... Dun dun dun... The fried rice could be better, and the sauce (I got the sesame chicken) was laid on a but thick, making the chicken overly sweet. But again, for $7, it's certainly better than would be expected. Especially with how bad so many Chinese take-out places have gotten since covid. All things considered, I would definitely recommend it.

The food was good, definitely a different flavor from what we’re accustomed to for Chinese takeout. The kiddos and fam liked it. From the previous reviews, it appears this is the best takeout in Moore… when I went inside, it was definitely BUSY on a Thursday evening. Next time, we will most certainly call our order in, rather than go and wait. We will be ordering again for sure. The food was 5 out of 5, service was 4 out of 5, and atmosphere was 2 out of 5. It’s a typical mandarin/chines takeout. There were a few chairs to sit and wait but definitely wasn’t inviting aesthetically if that makes sense. Then a big plastic flexi type thing on the desk where you order.
