Food Lion — Attraction in Mount Holly

We were here to buy a Christmas tree. I parked in front of the tree lot. As i waited 10, maybe 15 minutes for my partner to come back out from the restroom and grabbing a few grocery items, to pick a tree together, my photo was taken (without my consent). I started to notice the same faces keep circling around. I get waking in then out, but out "parking lot," then back in.

Not once was i offered help with buying, sorting, nor loading (why i parked up front. ) As i proceeded to load the tree myself while my partner returned inside to pay, I realized yet agian the same dusty looking white male chain smoking a cheap cigarette down to his finger kept side eyeing me and my two children in my van. You guys most definitely need better training. Y'all should be looking at yourself as that was embarrassing. Instead of super focusing on my little family of color trying to make Christmas happen, you should have offered assistance and asked if you needed anything. Shoplifting can't be that awful in MT Holly NC.

It's the nearest food lion to my home 5min away that i will avoid from now on. Thanks for reminding me that the KKK is alive and thriving...

Good place to go for your average, every day grocery shopping. Good sales here. With everything being so expensive these days, I like to save a little money wherever and whenever I can. This store really helps with that goal. Especially if you sign up for their MVP card. It's worth it. It's free and it helps you to save quite a bit of money on a lot of your purchases. At most, it costs you time (and, in my opinion, not much of it. The store at this particular location also has some of those self checks outs. I always appreciate those because it definitely helps to make it feel like things move a lot faster when checking out. I'm always on the go and have things to do and places to be so if there's a better way to get into and out of a store quickly, I'm down. I also noticed (while I was there the other day) that the employees clean the check out areas frequently (which is extremely refreshing considering the world we now live in). FL why are you paying employees to stand around? I would like to check out and 4 young employees are standing in the entrance way at the end of register talking. No light was on 3 so I asked if they were working, one said the other person was working there. He that was supposed to be on 3 said he was clocking out. Fine, I get in 1 and ask if the boys should be working, and they could hear me. Two of the boys hurried away and lady on 1 asked who was working. The one boy finally turned his light on to check me out. I did say, if you don’t have your light on then I think you’re not working. I looked there were 3 standing around talking and one was stocking the shelf BUT there was buggies everywhere in the parking lot and still there when I left. Several weeks ago the boy stocking the shelf had his earbuds in talking to whoever-really didn’t want to hear his personal business. So why are they getting paid? Mt Holly management,...
