Chicken Bucket — Restaurant in Mount Holly

I've eaten twice here and now and the first time around was fabulous! No issues and the food was delicious. This second time around , not so great! I placed my order and I could tell they are understaffed do to the owner's wife answering and taking multiple orders by herself. Knowing this and hearing her deal with multiple orders I made sure she was ready to write my order down when she got to me. After telling her my order and double checking after it was repeated I felt comfortable and was looking forward to the meal. My wife picked it up on her way home and upon getting home the Philly wasn't made with meat and cheese only. On the phone when taking the order I made sure I requested no peppers or onions and that I wanted the sandwich with meat and cheese only (aka plain). After seeing the incorrect sandwich I called down to talk to them. She answered the phone and I waited as she was dealing with other orders. I understand they are busy and things happen. After telling her about the order and telling her what I had asked for she raised her voice and came back at me , telling me I said no onions and no peppers. I said that is correct and I also mentioned plain as well as meat and cheese only. She got louder and came back with a NO you said no onions and peppers. At that point I lost my temper and yelled not to get an attitude with the customer. She proceeded to say will you be coming back tonight or another day and that is when I decided I will not go back and will not recommend this business to anyone else ever again. I had been praising them for weeks after eating there the first time. One bad experience can make or break a customer and getting an attitude over the phone is not a good way to retain customers. I have given this place a chance time after time. It started with Food being left out my order in the drive thru, so I started going inside to do my order. I went here this Tuesday and ordered the 4piece chicken meal. I paid the extra $1.00 for all white meat. I got to my car and something told me to check my plate. I had only 2 pieces of white meat and 2 dark. So go back inside. I tried to explain, along with my receipt in my hand, that I paid extra for “All white meat”. I’m not sure if he was the owner but he came out and showed me another receipt and said this is what I had. I said No I had this and then let him know the receipt he had wasn’t even my name. So I showed him my receipt to prove I paid for all white meat. He said I had to pay an additional $1 to get the other 2 pieces white meat. I told him I was not aware I had to pay an additional $1 to receive all 4 pieces of white meat but that it was cool, I just wanted to even things out. He personally goes and exchanges out the meat by takin the dark meat out and giving me the other 2 pieces. I say thank you and leave. I get home, open my box and see that both chicken breasts almost look dry rotted. If I saw my meat looking like this, I would never even put it on their plate or box. I've been going to this place for a couple of years but, the horrible customer service I can no longer tolerate! It was on Sunday yes it's busy but, that doesn't mean it's ok to treat customers badly! I asked for 2 large drinks repeated it 3 times the lady at the window got it wrong ,I informed her it was wrong she throws her hands up ,and say it's busy. I understand that and then she says give me $2.00 more dollars Ill give you a large. I said Im not giving you anymore money it was your mistake, apologize give the right one move on! I was respectful not loud she throws her hands up ,and walks away ,another lady comes give us the drink. It's a pattern it's giving racism because Im a black woman but whats crazy how you mistreating black people and your another culture as well. Ethnicity shouldn't be a issue we all bleed red blood and I like to inform those with biases and prejudices God created every Ethnicity and one isn't better than another it's not biblical at all! I won't be back and I spend a good amount when I do go! To management instead of justifying your wrong actions maybe retrain employees how to have patience because you never know who is coming through your drive thru could lead to many boycotting your business!
