Hedlin Farms — Attraction in Mount Vernon

The produce is good and the farm is beautiful, but the prices are unreasonably high. They’re located right next to a free compost pile with no major logistics involved, so it’s hard to understand why everything costs so much. Some items are two to three times more expensive than at other nearby farms. It might be fine for travelers, but for locals, it’s simply unaffordable.

There’s also a sewer treatment facility nearby that gives off an unpleasant odor, and I can’t help but wonder if it affects...

Hedins Family Farm is such a gem! Their fresh organic vegetables are not only delicious and full of flavor, but the family themselves are some of the kindest, warmest people you’ll ever meet. Visited this farm when I was looking for a fruit stand. The owner was very sweet girl. It's a family owned and they had very tasty and juicy fruits. We bought bunch of nectarines, peaches, apricots, pluots (plums+apricots) and few more things. The snap peas and tomatoes looked delicious.
