Holy FRICK looking at the images in the photos section just FLOODED me with so much nostalgia and happiness! I went here on field trips several times in elementary school and it was SO GOOD! And looking at the pictures now I SO wish I could go back because I want to appreciate it more thoroughly as an adult! The fun colors of paint on the walls, the VIBRANCY and PRESENTATION of the exhibits AAAA! IT'S JUST SO COOL! I LEARNED ABOUT DIFFERENT TYPES OF ROCKS IN SCIENCE CLASS, AND I STILL REMEMBER THAT STUFF BECAUSE OF LOOKING AT THE EXAMPLES IN THIS MUSEUM!! I hope this place still gets busses full of kids going through it because this is truly a gateway to science and an amazing example of how to make basic scientific concepts tangible to the general public. Keep rocking on and don't let ANYONE try and erase the...

Today was the first time ever taking my kiddo there or going there myself. I was incredibly impressed! The space may not be the biggest but they fit SO many cool exhibits (most of which the kids are able to touch). My kiddo LOVED touching the mammoth tusk. The person working during our visit today was so incredibly nice, informative and made my kiddo feel extra special. Completing the scavenger hunt was fun, but the prize out of the chest made my kids day. Their gift shop had an awesome selection for dinosaur lovers, too! The entire place was super clean as well. We will definitely be paying a visit back, especially for the low...

This museum was very small. Not much for little kids Todo under the age of 8 I'd say they do have a dig area w toys the kids can play in. And a cute little gift shop but other than that it's so small that it took my family less than 2 hrs to do the descover search witch only my 5 year old was able todo since she some what knows how to read w assistance. My suggestions for this place is to add a second story w more stuff that the kids can touch and play w and actually really learn. I hope the museum sees this cause. Other than then these few things my boys I think will quit enjoy it when they are old enough Todo the...

Me and my wife went there on our honeymoon, and we are big museum buffs. I can say without a doubt, that this is one of the best Paleontology Museums we've ever been too, and we live near the DC Smithsonian. This museum is very informative, and breaks down the information in a very digestive way. Has a great balance of interactive, and non interactive exhibits. It also had a lot of things I've only ever heard about, and seeing them first and was spectacular. The host at the front desk was also very sweet and kind!

We love the Museum of Science and Nature. The kids always find fun new things to learn about, and so do I! There is a quiet play area with a digging area (socks are required to play there) and a bunch of creative play items (puzzles, play food, felt board/figures, etc.). The scavenger hunt pages are a great starting point to be sure to visit each exhibit. The building is fairly small, but absolutely packed with learning opportunities/artifacts.

I visited this museum back in January. It was a really cool collection. I haven't been to many museums that are quite so interactive. I enjoyed how many of the exhibits were specifically relevant to Alaska and its history while also relating to wider natural history. It's a relatively small museum but is 100% worth the stop! The care of the people who curate the collection is evident.
