Gluten Free Burger Buns here! *
Tucked away in the Glenn Square strip mall, is an open and much more spacious than I thought, looking from the outside, restaurant. I got some art supplies from across the street and was incredibly hungry. I decided to come into Kriner's Burgers & Pies to see what was available. When I parked, I saw a few outside tables with flowers on each with couples and families enjoying the beautiful sunny afternoon.
Staff were friendly to me and their menu was on a large sign on the wall behind the register that has simple options with a list of FREE toppings to choose however many you like with your burger. Gluten-Free Burger Buns are $1.99 extra, but trust me, these are one of the best Gluten-Free Burger Buns in Anchorage! I'm wondering if they make them because they were delicious and NOT sad and flat like many gluten free store bread items! I got a #3 (bacon cheeseburger) with a few toppings including their candied jalapenos and sauteed mushrooms. These candied jalapenos were sweet with heat that were not over powering and a great flavor addition.
Instead of fries, I got tots with my order. I highly recommend the tots. These were so flavorful and crispy on the outside and perfectly soft and cooked on the inside. To jazz it up even more, Kriner's Burgers & Pies has many different dipping sauces to choose from. I got the sweet and spicy ketchup. Again, not too overbearing on the spice but just enough.
I ordered a vanilla milkshake with my order because, why not? I was not disappointed. Excellent food and drinks and I highly recommend Kriner's Burgers & Pies for anyone looking for a solid...
Read moreMy family and I recently visited Main Event Grill, and I must say, they have perfected the classic burger. The proportions, ingredient choices, and flavors were spot on, making it a true hit for us.
We were particularly impressed with their food truck burger. The balance of flavors and textures was remarkable. The fries, which we could season ourselves, were another highlight. They were crinkle-cut with a medium thickness, providing a satisfying crunch. Our youngest daughter couldn’t resist diving into a basket of these fries, and she loved their crispiness. The availability of spicy ketchup was a delightful bonus that added an extra kick to the meal.
We also sampled the buffalo chicken burger, and it was another winner. The consistent quality of the food is noteworthy. We did this meal with tots and it was another that Main Event was able to provide an awesome crunch to. While I enjoyed the blue cheese wedge, my wife wasn’t as enthusiastic about it, but we both agreed that we would order it again in some form.
The restaurant is situated in a pleasant shopping center, and the facility itself is clean and welcoming. We were surprised that it wasn’t busier, given the high quality of the food they are serving. We can definitely see ourselves becoming regulars and are excited to try more items from their menu.
In summary, Main Event Grill offers a fantastic dining experience with its classic and inventive burgers, well-executed sides, and a...
Read morewent for my first time, great service at first. Everything was tasty up until I had a bite of my burger that had a hair so imbedded into it, as I pulled the remainder of the burger away from my mouth it stayed right in its place. it was the most grosses experience I’ve ever had. When I told the counter cashier he asked and repeatedly asked did I eat the rest of the burger. Yes it was the second to last bite but you could tell that this hair was so imbedded that I couldn’t have put it there. I felt as if I was being accused that I put the hair in the burger. he then proceeded to say he can ONLY offer me a piece of pie or milkshake due to me eating 90% of the burger in what I thought was a hairless tasty burger but ended up turning my stomach upside down. He blamed me for the hair because “none of them had hair, but I saw one man with no hair net that had hair below his ears. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to any of my friends or family. they only care about the money they make off the prices of their burgers. Or if you do go, double check your burger before you get through half for any hair so they can try to make it right by getting another made for you or they will ONLY be able to offer you a milkshake or...
