Got the sampler platter, was pretty good but halfway through, empty drinks for my whole table and all of us were eating with a dry mouth. The waitress that day never came back to ask us if we needed anything else even though the place is tiny and made it a point to never acknowledge us again when we tried to get her attention until we walked up front to pay, and barely acknowledged any of us like it was a burden to cash us out. I mean, we were blatantly ignored. I'm never one to pull the race card but dang, our group was mixed latino and caucasion and I've never felt that much palpable disdain from anybody I'm paying to patron their business. On the way out I noticed a pacific islander group come in and get the royal welcome so I'm sticking with the conclusion that if you're an islander, you're welcomed with a smile and attention but anybody else, stay out. The huge accumulation of black flies in the window was a pretty big turnoff, but even not as bad as the cold shoulder we got. Wont be...
Read moreI lived out of state for a bit and would tell every one of the magical resturant "Hula Hands" and their life changing kalua pig and mac salad. I couldn't find ANYTHING like it where I lived. I even tried duplicating the recipe, with poor results. I decided that the experience needed to do whatever it is they do, is experience I may never have. The flavor, the texture and even the serving amount were all as I had remembered. It is edible bliss at a low cost. If you've read this far, why not go just a bit further and try it for yourself. It will be an amazing new experience! Worst case scenario, it isn't your cup of tea and you've learned something about yourself. Regardless, I've always left Hula Hands happy and I hope they never lose their...
Read moreThis is in no way meaning to rate their food because the food is awesome but the customer service… I walked in and went the cashier desk and nobody was there so I stood, no exaggerations for at least 4 minutes and still nobody then I sat down in one of the waiting chairs right in front of the cashier’s desk. 10 minutes go by and I was kind’ve confused because people are eating so I’m thinking to myself do they have servers or? Then the lady that’s working the desk is the same one I spoke with on the phone she was there and saw me while I was waiting no acknowledgment of me even being there. A simple hey, be with you in a moment would’ve been fine. I get it there’s good days and bad days but this definitely rubbed me the wrong way. First time at this Mountain View location. Fireweed is awesome in all aspects at least in my experience...
