I took my girls here this morning and was happy to see that the playground was covered so kids don't get burned on the equipment in the hot summer sun. We did not have our bathing suits, but plenty of families were enjoying the splash park that just opened in the Spring. I was happy to see there were bathrooms with changing tables in both men's and women's bathrooms. There were no trashcans in the bathroom which kept them odor free, but the only trashcan I saw was styffed. There is also a nice size pavilion that can be rented for birthdays or other occasions. The only thing I would recommend is putting in some benches near the playground area and some more trashbins. It would be nice if local businesses would sponsor additional equipment for the park and provide maintenance of their equipment. I look forward to seeing what other additions are to come.Ww will definitely be...

Murphy Park had a surprising amount of shade - the playground adjacent to the splash pad area was covered by an awning, and the picnic table pavilion was also covered. The splash pad itself was a refreshing design - right in the middle of the two covered areas, making it easy to get out the sun when needed. The water also did not exclusively come from the ground - it also came from long poles that went high into the sky. This splash park would be suitable for the differently abled in terms of access to pavilions and ability to enjoy the water at different heights. I did not check out the bathrooms, but they looked well maintained from...

Great playground that has it all!!!  The playground itself is very nice and even has a big awning that protects a lot of the playground from sun.  There is even a splash pad that is open from memorial day to labor day.  There are lots of picnic tables, a huge pavilion, a lake, tons of greenspace and even a very cool amphitheatre.  I haven't been to an event at the amphitheatre but there is a stage, lots of seating and all looks very nice.  This is one of our favorite parks to go to in the Wylie, Sachse, Murphy area.  Oh and it is located behind PSA Murphy so think it may often...

I like that it’s secluded and blocked off from traffic. There’s never many people when we go. It could use some more shade. Especially for summer outings. The Caucasian people who were there today were a bit rude and snobby. A few were looking for something when we got there and kept looking over towards us after we sat near the water on a picnic blanket as if we stole whatever it was they were looking for. A man even took a picture of trying to be slick but it was obvious. Probably because of the color of our skin. Sad to see racism is alive and well. Hope they found what they lost!

ETA: there is actually a button you can press to turn the water on. Picture of button attached. I love this park, the splash pad is perfect for the summer and I like that the playground is covered. For those going for the first time - the splash pad runs on a timer, so once it turns off it usually turns back on after 10 minutes. However - the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. There was no toilet paper at all in the women's restrooms, and no light either.
