Murray Museum — Attraction in Murray

This is a nice little museum. It's not really geared for younger children; it works ok for kids 7+, but they'll probably be done in 15-20 minutes. As an adult, I really appreciated that the exhibits were well laid out and wished I'd had more time to listen to the sound bytes from older citizens who remember days gone by and read plaques (with a couple of toddlers in tow, I was too busy trying to make sure they didn't destroy anything).

And if you're looking for the museum, it's easier to follow signs for the police station. The museum is in the back of city hall and can't be seen...

Great, little museum! Lots of local artifacts and info. The person working when I went was very helpful and answered any questions I had. It is quite a small museum, nevertheless I was impressed with how well the information was displayed. The admission is free, which is nice. I find it interesting that everyone who left a small number of stars didn't give a reason why. Perhaps they were comparing the Murray City Museum to the Smithsonian...? Either way don't let that be your deciding factor on visiting this great...

Small single romm that tells the local story well. Takes about 30 - 60 minutes to see. Worth seing if your in the area...
