I went into the Sephora store @ Fashion Place mall today looking for some blush. The gal who helped me was wonderful. (Wish I got her name, dang it! She had pink hair and was awesome!) When I went to check out she helped me find lots of additional eye makeup that I did not plan on purchasing and I was excited about all of my new, fun colors. After waiting in line for quite a while, as there was only 1 cashier and there were 10 of us in line, it was finally my turn. After the cashier rung up my purchase she asked me if I would like to receive 25% off of my order and sign up for a Sephora credit card. After thinking about it and doing the math, I decided that 25% would save me a significant amount, so I proceeded to give my personal info, my driver's license, last 4 of my ss, and everything else that they ask for. Then the cashier let me know that my application is being processed and I should receive a response in 7-10 days. Then she tells me my total amount due and it did not have the 25% off that she initially enticed me with. I asked her how I get the 25% off of my order. She told me that after I'm approved in 7-10 days I would get 25% off of my next order. I asked her why she told me I would get 25% off of my order and then had me fill out a credit app for their credit card only to be told that once it's approved I could then use the credit on a future purchase? She had no response. I felt conned, lied to, dismissed, swindled and disgusted at this con job. She asked if I still wanted my purchase? I said" no". I refuse to do business with people who behave this way. This is a horrible way to treat people. I'm sure they get a bonus for everyone who they sign up for a Sephora credit card and they will obviously say and or do whatever they need to do to get people to fall for this. I am cancelling my credit application and I will never purchcase anything else @ Sephora EVER! There are plenty of other reputable businesses and Sephora is not the only game in town. There is Ulta and MAC and Nordstrom and all of the other cosmetic companies that are honest and...
Read moreI avoid this location at all costs. Much better to go to the stand alone store in Riverton. The lines to check out are insanely long. Always. Last week I was in a long line with one person at the checkout. I noticed they had 5 people on the floor and out no one was reaching out to help the checkout line. One girl purposely âslidâ behind a perfume stand so as not to be seen. Once she realized I noticed and was not going to lose eye contact, she finally requested a portable credit card reader to âhelpâ. She clearly did not want to do so. When I mentioned it to her she mumbled something about âthis being the busiest storeâ. If itâs the busiest store, have more people checking people out and also, donât slink behind product displays when you have ability to check people Out via a portable card reader!
Another time I was there they had a corporate sponsor for one of the makeup brands. He was so very rude and acted like he owned the store and that the customers were beneath him. I complained about him and had several Employees that nodded their heads and quietly pulled me aside to say they agreed with me. He should not be allowed to treat anyone the way he treated customers and Sephora employees.
The management of this store is horrible. Before moving to Utah I loved going to many Sephora stores! But the management of fashion Place store is not doing something correctly bc the workers donât care about the customer experience and no one in the store seems To care when the line is wrapping around into the shopping area. They can and could step up but they donâtâthey let whomever is scheduled at the cashier desk to drown while they walk around and sniff perfumes and play with makeup.
Go to another Sephora if you want to have the Sephora experience of the past. Fashion Place Sephora is not managed well and the management attitude shows through how their employees treat...
Read moreI was given a $50 Sephora gift card for Christmas. I finally decided to use it today. I checked the balance online this morning just to verify and it had a $50 balance. Then I went to Kohlâs which has Sephora products, selected my purchase and went to the register. The clerk told me there was a zero balance on the card. I was shocked and she told me to call customer service (while blatantly eyeing me as if I was a thief). A Sephora customer service rep told me that theyâve had problems with unauthorized usage of gift cards but they donât anything to replace the missing funds (âwe treat a gift card as if it were cashâ). They had the info on two scam purchases (one for $34+ and the other for $17) that were placed this morning but wouldnât tell me who made the purchases or where the purchases were sent although she verified that they were placed online this morning. Someone must have scammed the gift card number and pin when I checked the balance this morning (maybe a Sephora employee?) after taking it out of the cardboard wrapper it came in which has been in my possession since Christmas. As an aside, I made four phone calls to Sephoraâs customer service. Two times I was disconnected and one rep hung up on me. Then Chris, supposedly a supervisor, came on during my fourth attempt and very condescendingly asked how my day was going. I actually asked him if he was for real. All in all, I spent over an hour and a half only to be told that gift cards get used unauthorized online but they choose not to do anything even though they have the info regarding the scam purchases. Do not shop at Sephora and certainly do not purchase Sephora gift cards. Do...
