I had a fantastic experience with Mattress Firm in Murray. My husband and I had to take on the dreaded task of buying a new mattress this past weekend. We initially went to a local (large chain) furniture store and of course were ignored for like 30 minutes before anyone even offered to try and help us. However, walking into Mattress Firm it was a whole different story. From the moment we walked in the door we received nothing but fantastic customer service. Someone introduced themselves to us within a minute of walking in and gave a us a brief overview of the store layout and let us know that their other sales person, who we could see was in the middle of helping another customer, would be with us shortly. They then gave a a few minutes to browse. Within less then 5 minutes the second sales person was available to help us. The sales people at this place are very knowledgeable and passionate about their products. I can't tell you how nice it is to see a sales person who actually knows something about the product they are selling, it seems like most sales people now a day be it for cars, electronics, etc. never know anything about what they are selling and just try to feed you b.s. about their products. This was definitely not the case at Mattress Firm. Additionally while the sales people here are sales people, yes they will try to sale you stuff, that is their job after all, they are not pushy. They will sell you a product based on its merits rather than trying to b.s. you. But by far the best thing about Mattress Firm is their service, I feel like I was wined and dined through my whole experience shopping at their store. From offering me bottled water to giving great product demos, and of course going out of their way to get me the best price they could on a mattress. I moved to UT today. Knowing I wouldn’t be bringing a bed, I ordered on online which was on sale. The website told me it was going to be delivered today, but when I reached out to confirm, I was directed to a webpage which only told me that they had not sent it on time. The only info I could find on the website said, “if you were given A time frame, disregard.” Needless to say, I was quite disappointed.
Scared that I would be sleeping on the hardwood floor in my new place tonight, I reached out to the local store and that’s when I met Landon.
He first, on the phone, calmed my fears. He assured me that if I were to come in he would take care of me. Even though this was in no way his mess up and the fault was 100% the online ordering systems.
When I arrived, Landon demonstrated active listening skills as he remembered me and my situation with hardly any additional explanation on my part.
He found me a similar (slightly better maybe) mattress and offered me a discount for the trouble.
Honestly, it wasn’t the discount that has me writing this review. It’s because he showed exemplar customer service techniques. He followed through on each step of the way and on the one issue we couldn't correct he gave me additional options and I walked away more than satisfied with my brand new memory foam mattress in hand, which he loaded up in my car for me.
I will be needing some additional mattresses soon for my 2nd room and I can assure you that I will be going to Landon only, to help out with that and any other mattresses needed in the future. And so...
Read moreI’m writing this review only because Mattress Firm is pushing google reviews so intensely I have yet to receive the correct mattress. I ordered a Silver Chill FIRM King Mattress on June 28. When speaking with the sales rep, I told him it was imperative that I the mattress no later than that Thursday. He reassured me that this could be arranged. Come Wednesday night, I didn’t receive a delivery confirmation. I stopped in the store and the sales rep had no idea where the mattress was and advised me to call the manager and the warehouse in the morning. I did this only to find out that the mattress I ordered wasn’t expected to be delivered until July 11. After going back and forth, I requested a loaner. I then had to follow up AGAIN about the status of the mattress. Nobody seemed to know what my order was or where to find my receipt. I had to text them proof of my purchase. They told me my order had in fact arrived and they would arrange to have the mattress delivered the next day. Well here we are today and guess what never showed up? My Mattress. Instead the wrong mattress arrived. I had to yet again call the store and follow up only to be told that the mattress I ordered won’t be here until July 20?! It’s one things for your reps to be nice but it’s another thing to actually know what the hell is going on. At this point I am furious. I have spent time away from my work day dealing with this and have had people in and out of my house when it’s not convenient.
